Regretting new car purchase

Which appears to be exactly what has happened.Herzlos said:macman said:
No, you haven't been 'ripped off'. You paid the sticker price without checking if it was about right for a car of that year and model. What is the mileage? I'd expect it to be near immaculate at that price, with a recent service and MOT, as £4k is right at the top end of what it might be worth.DanS1 said:Sorry guys, just checked and engine capacity is 1364cc, so it's a 1.4 litres engine.
Definitely diesel and cost £4k though. Is there a chance I've been ripped off?
Dealers always expect you to negotiate, and price accordingly. You seem to have bought on impulse.
Dealers don't negotiate anymore, supply and demand along with internet buying have killed that off.
That's not to say dealers won't put something on the forecourt with an extortionate price in the hope that someone will buy it without doing any research first, though.
I take your point, but at the 'banger' end of the market there is usually going to be some scope for haggling? This is a 15 year old car after all.
Nah, if you don't buy it someone else who's either desperate enough or clueless enough will. You can try, of course, but unless you've seen it sitting on the forecourt for a while you're unlikely to have much success.
The way things work now with autotrader etc is that people tend to inquire about the cheapest ones first, so if you inflate the price by £500 to knock it off later, no-one phones because they are buying the cheaper cars.

Went to my car this morning, wing mirror cap has been knocked off. Another £30 I’ve had to spend on Amazon to get it replaced.0

Didn't that also happen with the last Yaris, very unlucky.1

Make sure you inform the insurance company, don't want them cancelling this policy.DanS1 said:Went to my car this morning, wing mirror cap has been knocked off. Another £30 I’ve had to spend on Amazon to get it replaced.0 -
Exactly like your other "story" of 3 years ago 🤣DanS1 said:Went to my car this morning, wing mirror cap has been knocked off. Another £30 I’ve had to spend on Amazon to get it replaced.
Please stop making things up, you're not even good at it.0 -
I've told them just in case I did hit another car and they had dashcam and report me.DanDare999 said:

It is unfortunate it's happened again within less than 3 years. I only wish I was making it up.0

It's only happing because you keep posting. Go back to reality where there is no car, no wing mirror damage and no problem.DanS1 said:It is unfortunate it's happened again within less than 3 years. I only wish I was making it up.
You have lied on this thread, admitted to lying so why should you be believed now?0
