I just cancelled mine, was really easy. Waited till last statement produced, paid it off and checked the last £10 amazon voucher was transferred. Just called 0333 220 2672 and followed the prompts to cancel, no human interaction/hard sell!
Said would take up to 90 days for credit agencies etc to report it as closed, but was closed as far as they were concerned.
Regardless of all the other threads on this subject, which don't really have many relevant recent comments, which Credit Card is recommended for future Amazon spending? I already have an AMEX. I can't see any with specific cashback or points build-up for Amazon spending, only general spending.

There are none unless you're eligible for an Amazon Business Amex.
There are other routes to get a get a good return on Amazon spend by purchasing gift cards, however.
I went with cancelling the Amazon card as there was nothing attractive about the Pulse. I did go for their card-less https://www.bip.credit as that has no fees and it's a something a bit different. So far, all seems good using it with my Google Wallet (although you can use the card anywhere online as there's still a standard card number).
I'm not sure what to do mainly enjoyed the credit card for the extra protection on big purchases and the amazon points were a bonus.
It was my first credit card and now I'm not sure any recommendations? I usually pay my card off straight away.
Go to something like the MSE Eligibility Checker and put your details in and see what cards come up. There are still reward cards that allow you to earn while also having the S75 cover and paying no interest, AmEx is top tier for benefits but there are others that pay real cashback (like the Lloyds one - 0.25% for first £4k then 0.5%) or even the pretend cashback like the Asda one if you shop there (it's pretend as they paint it as "pounds not points" but you can only use them in Asda so it's 6 of one...)
We decided to Opt-in to the new Pulse card. Not heard anything since though. Amazon NewDay card ends on the 11th. Has anyone else who opted in, already received their new Pulse card?

I haven't done anything not sure if they opt me in automatically or not.
I keep getting emails and text messages warning me the NewDay card is changing.

I opted in last week, but not expecting card yet as they said it would arrive by mid December. Current card still works in the meantime and until the new card arrives and is activated.
