I won!! The District Judge agreed with my contention of unreasonable behaviour on behalf of DCBL and contended that their ‘commercial’ decision to discontinue was actually because they knew they were going to lose. He awarded me £238 for travel and parking, attendance at court and filing of documents. Now I’m going to try to get that story into the press.

Had you previously got your £275 set aside fee back?

Sadly not, at that previous hearing the judge made no award with regards to costs so I’m technically down financially but up morally!

You could try a LBC then issue a claim for it, given your judgment outcome today which confirmed the claim had no merit.
