I called them today (refund requested 2.5 weeks ago), the person there was very nice but couldn't explain why it hadn't been processed yet - she promised to make mine extra urgent, hahaBeing brave is going after your dreams head on0

I am guessing asda mobile are processing a LOT of refunds right now. Not helped by the fact there are some very good deals around and people aren't waiting until the price rise actually happens.0

Received gift cards this morning for mine and my daughter's sims. By my reckoning took 3 weeks to process and both seem to have a deduction of about 10p for some reason.0

Requested refund online on 6 August. Heard nothing further so phoned on 22nd and explained the situation to a very polite Egyptian lady who said she would phone me back but didn't. Phoned again today and spoke to another very polite lady who assured me that I would receive the gift card within the next week. It miraculously arrived in my e-mails about an hour later, so not sure whether this was a coincidence.

Got my refund today as well.
I wonder if it's going in batches or they just handled the ones that called to complain this week...
My dates were quite similar to yours, requested on the 8th, called on Tuesday 23, got it today.Being brave is going after your dreams head on0 -
I seem to remember someone saying they were offered gift card or credit card refund. But for me only option was gift card.0

My gift card refund also came by email today, after chasing several times in the weeks since I requested the credit balance refund and a pac code at the beginning of August.I had asked for the refund to be paid on the credit card used to fund the account, but was told payment had to be by gift card. The pac code expires 31 August, so I used it straightaway to port my number to RWG. Cymru am byth!

It's rumoured rwg aren't the smoothest at porting (possibly due to the complication of being a partner to nowmobile rather than an mvno themselves?) Anyway you only need to join once, and possibly leave once.
I ported 2 weeks ago and would advise you keep checking as it ported without warning so I had to rush home for the new sim. I guess it makes sense to keep hold of your asda number until you have received the refund, so as to call and complain. I guess I just expected the gift card would arrive in a day or two and no point keeping the sim with no credit left.1 -
The port from Asda Mobile to RWG that I initiated last Friday completed this afternoon, so the RWG porting seems to be fine now.0
