Surely 1pmobile is a no-brainer if you're looking for PayG?  It's got features I don't even get on my Plusnet contract (5g and wifi calling). https://www.simsherpa.com/networks/1p-mobile/review-and-guide

The £10 every 120 day top up requirement puts most occasional users off.

I agree, but they do some annual packages, which may be better?  Also you could let credit build for a rainy day or donate to charity?

Or, if Asda suits your needs otherwise and you rarely use it. Just top-up £5 once every 180 days to keep it alive. Annoying that they will charge 15p/minute if you do make a call, but at £10 per year, it still isn't so bad.
Can donate the extra credit to a charity or enter a competition by SMS...

I think RWG mobile is now the best option for light users who don't need wi-fi calling.

Otherwise, for extreme money savers like me who are happy to port out and back again to take advantage of introductory offers, Lebara prices can rarely be beaten (currently £1.35 per month for 6 months). 1p mobile works out at £2.50 per month or more.

If they still have it available and data isn't really needed, there was a £36 upfront payment for 12 months, unlimited minutes, texts and 250mb of data. "Talker - 1 year".
    jnm21 alluded to this.

I described earlier how I'd tried to go through the procedure on the Asda Mobile website for getting a refund of my credit by voucher and got an error message. Others had had the same experience but got the voucher.

Can I ask how long the voucher took to arrive (be email) because I tried 4 times, getting the error message, but was vaguely reassured that it might still work from what people said.

    I'm wondering this too.
I requested a refund last week on the 2nd.
Today the 8th, I have just received a text telling me that my balance is zero so hoped that I would have an e-voucher but nothing yet 🤔.

Oh, you only got the text 6 days later?
I just submitted my refund request and a minute later I got that text saying my balance was 1p (no idea why not zero...). All went well, no error messages.

I sent the PAC to RWG yesterday and they confirmed they're working on it and it'll be ready today or tomorrow, super efficient in replying to my questions.

Hi, was this a refund back to your registered payment card though or a request for an e-voucher?
I've phoned again today and been assured that I will receive my refund via email within the next few days.

Unbelievable. Using inflation as a cover to hike rates 150-275%.
Thanks, I wasn't aware of this and have just received a text from Asda.
