What better deals are there to switch too, if you are a very light, but fairly regular user?

I already have a RWG SIM in my dual-SIM phone, and have paid £15 up front for 100 mins, 100 texts and 750MB of data per month. However, I don't want to switch my main number to them as I need Wifi calling as the mobile signal in my house is virtually non-existent. RWG did tell me that they are hoping to introduce Wifi calling later in the year, so I will wait and see. I am also a bit sceptical about how they can continue to offer such low prices.

In the meantime, I've ordered a Lebara SIM (I've been with Lebara twice before) for £1.40 per month for the first 6 months https://mobile.lebara.com/gb/en/msm/exclusive-monthly-plan-690/p/441209?utm_source=impactradius&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=121977&utm_content=ONLINE_TRACKING_LINK&utm_clickid=xVyzIpx3rxyNUfiwVmR-c3kUUkDyxzTqgR930E0&utm_iradid=360019&utm_clickref=&default=page&irgwc=1. The price goes up to £6.90 after 6 months, and you get 12GB of data per month, which is far more than I need, but I expect to switch away again within that period.

This is annoying. I've just bailed out from Three to Asda because of Three's rates increase and here we go again!
Still arguing with Three to get my credit with them back...

I am in the same boat. I've had numerous Live Chats with 3. I've raised a formal complaint with them which did nothing. I have asked for a deadlock letter, to see if they come good on that.

However, this is a problem it seems many people are having. Surely 3 should be punished for all their broken promises. If I don't get the "promised" deadlock letter how can I take my complaint further? It should be open for the consumer to take action or start the ball rolling in getting something done about the refund. This having to get a deadlock letter from 3 is fine IF they play ball.

3 are an absolute joke of a company and I hope the bad publicity they get for not giving refunds right away tars them for a long time.
  • I was in the same boat.Three Support is absolutely abysmal. It took me SEVEN weeks to receive my refund after numerous complaints and writing to the CEO who didn't even have the  courtesy to reply.
You can escalate to the appropriate Ombudsman ( search ; ombudsman-services.org.  I cannot post a direct link here) but not until eight weeks after your initial unresolved request.
  • RWG would be an option for most people unhappy with Asda price hike but there remains a slight worry mentioned by other forum users how long can they offer this "free" allowance with the £5 credit in the background.  Is it likely to fold at some point?  RWG do not have wifi calling so if you struggle with phone signal especially EE then either wait till they allow it (later this year according to RWG) or switch across to them & put up with poor phone signal.

That would be an issue for me, the EE signal is not brilliant in my house. With Three, I had the same problem, but they supported WiFi calling. I'm with Asda now, who claim they support it, but I haven't needed it as the Vodafone signal is strong, even inside my house.

Iv been with rwg over a year now,and since then they have increased the free mins text and data twice,if they were struggleing, surely they would decrease the free allowance.
They are a small company, but are backed up by the much bigger now mobile, hence why you see now on your lock screen instead of rwg

Did they email or text you?   Not received anything myself yet.

    Is it all PAYG customers?

    We received "the text" yesterday.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)
  • Watch out if you have 'Low balance top-up' enabled, as your account will be topped up after you have requested a credit refund.

This happened to me. I applied for a credit refund this morning. A litle while later I looked at the app and my credit was showing as £5.01. I had previously set up my account so that it would top up by £5 if the balance fell below £2. It never occurred to me that this would still happen once I withdrew the balance. Anyway, I turned off the auto top up and applied for another refund. Lucky that I spotted this, as I'm porting out to Lebara, which will take place on Tuesday. I assume I would have lost the £5 top up if I hadn't spotted it and requested a refund.

Surely 1pmobile is a no-brainer if you're looking for PayG?  It's got features I don't even get on my Plusnet contract (5g and wifi calling). https://www.simsherpa.com/networks/1p-mobile/review-and-guide
