Today I am grateful for a sunny day, for meeting up with sis and bil, for finding DMs in my size for only £30, for dc doing more climbs and recording them in a notebook, for meeting up with my friend ON THE BEACH and getting a paddle in the sea, for dc not having a meltdown (a quiet morning really helped, phew), for going home tomorrow!

@f0xh0les 🍀🤞🍀🤞🍀🤞
@beanielou I make memory bears for people & bears from fabric/felted wool that I have in my humongous stash, which I sell at craft fayres.
A sunny morning, but a couple of heavy showers on our walk (guess who hadn't taken coats?!!). Bumped into a man walking his dog, he told us about a couple of tracks that take you into the peat hills, so we explored one of them on our circuit. Lovely views from there 😃
Had dinner on our return & closed my eyes for half an hour. Did 2 sewing jobs for other people & repaired holes in DS1's jeans & t-shirt, whilst decluttering programmes I'd recorded. Had been all excited by My Second Hand Home on Ch4 this evening, but wasn't what I expected. It was ok! Got more crocheting done, finished another ball of wool, so once it's used up, the blanket will be finished. Fothergills have seeds £1 a packet, so ordered a couple of tomatoes that DH wanted to try, that he'd seen recommended for their flavour in a magazine.
Off to bed shortly, ready for my hospital visit in the morning. Blood, tissue & urine tests ready for proceeding with my potential kidney donation. I really hope I can either donate to DH or someone else, who's donor doesn't match them but will match my DH 🤞🤞🤞
Grateful for DS3 washing up this evening, new adventures, hopeUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning turtles,
Here is my update for yesterday:
Small spend on 50th tat for friends birthday celebration next weekend so still 11/15 NSDs. Also booked an activity for Wednesday yesterday to save an NSD then. I have ordered a top online, ordered more items to get the free delivery and a discount. Only have funds for the one top so need to be strong when the parcel arrives!
Very lazy day yesterday. Popped to local town so that counts as being outside.
Binge watched the football most of the weekend with our team playing tonight.
Planning on cooking a roast dinner this evening. Looking forward to that.
Yesterday I was grateful for: Organising the week ahead so everyone knows where they need to be and when, the sense of autumn in the air, making plans for home improvements.

Hugs to everyone who isn't feeling well or in difficulties. I hope things improve very soon.
I hope all goes well for the appointment today, Thrifty.
Got quite a lot done yesterday including a few bits that I kept moving on. We had a goulash for dinner. I was really pleased at how it turned out, Not even a grain of rice left on the Boy's plate. And there is another portion left for freezing. Himself will have that for lunch sometime this week.
Since I'm going out for lunch on Tuesday I'll have to redo my meal plan and any tasks I had planned. There weren't a lot pencilled in for Tuesday anyway. I've just booked my Tesco delivery slot for the holiday so I'm realising that it's not long now.
Just going to finish my coffee and then it's round to Aldi and starting today's jobs.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Hope all goes well today thrifty.

Afternoon Turtles. Hope your appointment went well Thrifty, I had my fingers crossed for you.
Hope the house sale went through ok f0xh0les.
Have a week off work this week and my sister is kindly doing my customers for me. Had a bit of good luck over the weekend when my sister gifted me some very expensive trainers which were too small for her and she had given up trying to break them in. I collected them from Dads and when I opened the box, there was a sizeable cheque in there from Dad. Apparently he had ‘too much money’!
I have had a lovely time trying to decide what to do with it, but I think new internal doors are on the cards.
Today we went for a long walk as we had been a bit lazy recently and we have some days out planned for the rest of the week.

@Thrifty_Taylor hope everything went well. That's very brave of you!
Well, can I still have an NSD today if I just had to pay the structural engineer £600 to come and assess my walls?
Ah well, it is done!
Some news at work, I'm to have a bit of a change! I get to do more of the things I want to, which is great! I may have to have a desk in a windowless room though. Also a change of command. It will be new and strange.
Had a call from my weight management consultant (NHS) today to go over my weight loss strategy. Made sure they are aware of my liver disease. Got some more tips to try. It's infuriating - I always used to be fine but my blimmin failing hormones and organs keep being super annoying. Ah well, it's going in roughly the right direction albeit very slowly. Plus I am getting some superb muscles!
Today grateful for: free blackberries! Very yummy in my overnight oats.
And the instant pot. I steamed a chicken breast for our sandwich meat this week. It comes out succulent and moist, and uses less energy to cook. Plus it's less fatty!Keep reading books!
