Hi turtles
Another NSD achieved today so now 12/15. Bit of a boring day and a sad day for me as it’s become quite obvious I can’t afford to keep make such big over payments to my cc. So for September I will only make payments of £270 instead of my planned £300. What really takes my miscellaneous cash is gifts for other people so I’ve decided to reduce my monthly overpayment each month to my cc by how much I expect to spend on birthdays etc that month. This should make things more manageable.Nothing else to report I’m off work tomorrow but activity already paid for & ds has a dentist & grandparent visit tomorrow so hoping for a NSD.Have a lovely evening.Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Woke up earlier than my alarm, so got up & did a 12 minutes exercise routine on yootoob. Thought I'd do a shorter one to ease me back into it! DH feeling very drained, so stayed in bed. I got DS3 up, fed all the cars & wild birds & got myself ready for work. Had a great day, my main pupil seems more willing to do work & try new things outside his comfort zone, so gave lots of praise. Went for a quick walk afterwards with a colleague. Made tea, then went to pin a man into a waistcoat. Stayed talking to his mum for 2 hours!! Had a quick bath when I got home. Surprised to receive £25 points from RM survey in a prize draw, so converted into 4m4zon gift cards, & now I've got enough to order a metal bench for the garden for free 😃
Grateful for a great day at work, gift vouchers & DH seeming a tiny bit brighter this eveningUse it up, wear it out

Congratulations f0xh0les - the dream!Thrifty - glad to hear that tests went smoothly. And great pic!I forgot to post yesterday’s update:Woke to an email from train company confirming a £15 refund on rail ticket to London. I’ve queried whether the refund covers both our tickets. I’ve a feeling it’s just one ticket.Email was also in the inbox from Saneberries saying they’ve issued a £1 refund because an item in our grocery shop didn’t meet their price guarantee I.e. it didn’t match Aldee.Another £2 arrived in my bank account from TCashback.Felt quids-in this morning.Dropped off bag at CS and bought a brand new book for DS costing 50p. It’s the next in a series he enjoys and they usually cost £5.99.A quick and easy stir fry for dinner. Full of veggies because I’m trying to stretch meat as much as possible. I usually buy a packet of chicken breasts every week or two and try to get 2-3 meals from them.Grateful for finding book for DS in CS, for text chat with gfs, and for phone cameras.

I had a lovely lunch with my friend yesterday. Poor wee lamb is having a bit of a difficult time at the moment so I think she was grateful for having someone to talk to. At least I mad her laugh a bit. I must make more of an effort to keep in touch with her.
Well, it's pouring down again today so definitely a day for staying indoors. I was going to wash all my throws and cushion covers but that will have to be postponed until it's a better drying day. At the moment I'm trying to remove the battery cover from my firestick so I can replace the batteries. Can't get it to move. Think I'm going to have to enlist the help of my more practical neighbour
Off to redo my list for today now that the weather has scuppered my plans.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Evening turtles.
Another NSD today so now 13/15. Took DS to an inflatable park (pre booked & paid for on a previous spend day) it was too hot & too busy but burnt some energy. He bought his own drink. He dropped £10 on the floor, luckily I spotted it as it has gone under the vending machine!!
Took him to the dentist all good there and then visited my parents. Played badminton in the garden. He’s gone to footy tonight with DH so I’ve bleached another row of grout & tiles on the kitchen floor and then I’m going to put my pjs on and watch last nights celebrity master chef 😌.4 tops put in charity bag from a stroppy wardrobe sort out this morning!
Nothing else happening here today. Have a good evening.Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2606 -
Today I am grateful for my union, for taking dc up to Lunnon successfully, for a new game on my phone, for sausage sandwiches for tea, for good books online.

Hope your meeting went well @DrCarrie & you have now been promoted! 🤞
Woke up early & did some exercises again. DH tested positive this morning, so knew I'd have to take him to & from dialysis today. Got sorted to take him in & DS2 to college, but he received a call to say he was to go in this afternoon instead. Too short notice for DS to catch the bus, so I took him all the way there, then drove all the way to work. Left just after lunchtime to pick hubby up & take him to the hospital, then back to work again. Went straight home afterwards, unpicked a zip, cooked tea, did part of the dishes, then time to collect DH from hospital. Must've driven 90 miles altogether! Stopped at L1dl for milk & got some ys bread for the freezer, will save me buying any at the weekend now. Sewed a zip into a coat, now chilling on my bed with a hot chocolate!
Grateful for DH feeling a bit more himself, understanding boss & staff, a sunny dayUse it up, wear it out
