As far as I can see, the online account only gives the ability to top-up.
Thanks that what I thought. I think my 3 account was the same so never used it as I bought my top ups from the shops.

  • Looks like the £5 for free min/texts and 250mb of data every month has been pulled

I sent RWG a link to this thread of messages so that they can see what's being said. From my understanding they are a good set of people doing their best to provide a good service and I think they deserve support and encouragement for what they are doing.

In pursuit of this I'd encourage people to add to this thread any constructive suggestions as to how their website/service could be improved and made clearer

I got the SIM where you pay £15 as a one-off payment and get a free amount of data, texts and calls each month. I was interested to find that it wouldn't let me make any calls unless I topped up - which I did by £10. It then let me make calls and I could see my £10 balance going down each time.

I'd expected that calls and texts would be free and that the original £15 I paid for the SIM would be the balance from which payments would be taken if I went over the free allowance of calls etc.

Have I misunderstood this, what are other peoples experiences. I find it all a bit opaque at this stage.

I understand you get 250MB renewed monthly with just one off payment of £5.
How did yo get to get the one with £15 as a one-off payment . I understand you will get 750MB renewed each month?

  • I'm thinking of joining RWGMobile after hearing of the Asda PAYG price rises coming on the 26th September 2022.

    One question:
What are the rules on Mobile companies that go under (hopefully they won't)?
I'm thinking about my mobile number which I have had for many years and don't want to lose.
Are there rules in place so that we will still be able to port our number to a new mobile company?

I was with ovivo mobile when they folded in 2014. Even though they folded, they kept their website open so you could obtain a pac code for a month. Dont know if rules applied
