I think that what the OP is really asking is if you use all of your £5 or £15 up, perhaps in error by going over the 250 mb, or minutes, do you then have to make up the amount back to £5 or £15.  If you don’t do that then you could just keep going over the limit and they could not get their money for the used up credit.  Hope I have explained this well enough.  At some stage RWG will need everyone to keep to the £5 or £15 balance agreement.  I too have wondered so maybe we should just phone C/S and ask the question there?
Wouldn't they just stop letting you making calls etc - like any other PAYG that runs out of credit?
If you use all your bundle allowance, your credit will be used next. When that is used up,you will not be able to make any calls or send texts or use data till you either top up,or if you dont top up,wait till your free allowance starts again. You do not need credit on  phone. The bundle renews without credit

I have the free(pre. £5) never put any money on.

Renews every month, no credit it just stops working.

1pMB is decent anyway I change to 1pMB on my O2 main sim rather than put money on WRG

You can text your bundle code to get an update of your allowance.
(Now give remaining mins/text and data)

With a reminder of use set up on your  you can keep an eye on use and check with the text

I manage use by turning data off unless I need it like browsing, what's app or traffic on maps.
Avoid accidentally using data if WiFi drops out.

Considering topping up £15 to get the higher allowance as sometimes 250MB runs out.

Currently looking at USA and an option that is better than 3 offering£10 16GB limited to 12GB roaming.

Thanks for that clarification.  So no need to make up the £5 or £15 to carry on using the network, RWG just stop letting you make calls etc if you go over your monthly limit.  I am mystified as to how RWG can operate a free service up to a certain limit.  Don’t know of any other companies who do anything for free.  Long may it last.

They have been going since 2015.
They are part of a bigger company, NOW mobile.
On a side note,if you ever need to top up by voucher, which i always do,you ask for a now mobile voucher, if you ask for RWG it will not be found on the paypoint system

That's what I was thinking and that I must have misunderstood how it works.

The only thing that you could be missing is that there is no foreign roaming on these two cheap deals.

For me this is something I can live with but it looks like I would still be able to use the phone as international roaming and calling is automatically enabled on their SIMs. I just need to top up the phone with credit.

Do you know if people were able to get a PAC code so as not to lose their number?

My thoughts too, that is why I am reluctant to port my number to them.  I really couldn’t do with having to inform so many banks, companies etc that my number has changed.  I will leave my main number with Asda and use the new number from RWG.  Here’s hoping they continue for a long time to come.

Dual sim phone is the solution if you dont want to run the risk of porting
My main number is the three data reward sim in slot 1
    Rwg in slot 2

O2 classic as main numbers,  RWG  and 3 data rewards in the other phones.

RWG seem to keep the SIM alive if you just use the free data.
