NS&I website - going round in circles trying to log in

    Same problem here with the SCA authentication error message - according to a reply to someone with the issue on Twitter, NS&I have said "we're aware of this issue affecting some customers and our technical team are working to get it fixed as soon as possible. I can only advise to try again later and apologise for any inconvenience caused" 
  • I'm logged in now so looks like issues are resolved.
  • I just tried again and was able to log in. Why the heck don't they put up a splash screen or message on their site to say there's a problem? How could anyone be able to discern between an error with their own machine, or one with the NS&I site?

    NS&I is completely exasperating - zero customer focus and no interest in improving.
  • seems problem is still there, for me anyway .
    5 days, using safari, used second authentication , and pin ,once, successfully , but sick of trying now.5 days .
    get the otc, then “Sorry ,  Cancel and try again.”they admit it’s their fault , not mine .
    I am sorting a problem via e- mail and phone to them, no probs there.
  • Given we are both  having the same issue when it did work before today I suspect the problem is with NSandI.

    If you are in a hurry I can only recommend phoning them to try and resolve it.  I am going to wait a bit longer and see if they fix it or post a status update to explain that there are known problems with logins.

    I am still having problems, phoned three times, today being the latest, to no avail.
    she had no solution, she cannot talk direct to their tech dept, neither can I, she hadn’t a clue.
    she said they support safari 11 and above mine is 12.5.6, but she says iPad is old !
    i doubt it will ever be solved and if I want,/ need to stay with Ns&i, it is a new iPad or phone banking.
    there’s no saying a new computer/ iPad will make any difference.
    i can receive and input the OT.C, so what can be the problem?

    but it’s the only one that safeguards amounts above £85k is what  I require in one place.Number 11 will be tapping them up for more money soon, bet he gets through 🤬

    I did that - complaint upheld, solution: clear cookies ! £50 paid comensation, problem still there of course.

    When on the phone yesterday, 50 mins, the girl asked if I wanted to submit a formal complaint, but said there was nothing the complaint dept could/ would do other than she tried, so suggested  I open and close at the same time??
    I told her to open it and leave it open, awaiting a call from them, the second in a week.
    don’t expect the fault to be fixed, but I do need / want the direct savings account, as
    it is the only place I can put more than £85 k without the worry of it going under, so it looks like I will have to suck it up and use phone bank, so much for technology !

    P.s.
    clear cookies.  !They say that’s probably one of the reasons I have the problem as I usually delete history and cookies before online banking, never had any problems till 2fa .
    no probs with several other banks I have using 2fa !

    I finally got on using a browser I have that has absolutely NO security, so not the world's best idea really.  A total pain in the proverbial.
