I have asked the MSE team to investigate.
So far, no answer from them either0 -
Read through the posts here trying to get sim advice on this. I’ve signed up to Scottish Power for SEG around a year ago and I’m still waiting for my money. Unfortunately I had to change my smart meter at the end of last year and this might be delaying things. I’ve got photo evidence and emailed them several times. I occasionally get an email asking me to submit my meter readings but still no payment. I noticed some people have complained directly to SP complaints. Surely a regulated company must be able to investigate an official complaint without just saying you need to deal with the SEG team. Or even raising with OFGEM. It’s so frustrating. Has anyone actually received any cash from them?0

I wanted to share that I finally think I will get my first SEG payment after 9 months. As I posted earlier I finally got to the point my application completed after 9 months and just needed to get the meter change logged. I called the SP FIT call centre (0800 001 5156) and asked what I needed to do. Apparently my email reporting the meter change had been processed but I had not been notified. I then gave my new readings over the phone and should receive a payment soon…
Hopefully that helps others.0 -
Finally received my first payment from Scottish Power. This took almost 8 weeks following the submission of the meter reading. I’ve since been provided with an invoice from Scottish Power, that confirms that they have been paying me at the wrong tariff since 16/02/2023. They’ve paid me at 12p p/kWh and not 15p as they said I would receive given my solar panel system had been purchased from Scottish Power. What I find interesting from the invoice is how they have allocated the electricity fed in between the old tariff and the new tariff. They have said that I fed in more power in the period 11/11/2022 (the date of my original meter reading) to the 16/02/2023 (the date of change of tariff) than I did for the period 16/02/2023 and 11/05/2023 (subsequent meter reading). I’m scratching my head wondering how this can be. I have some how managed to generate and feed in more power during the 3 darkest months of the year than during the late winter into spring! Looking at the app for my system I can see that this is complete nonsense, however given all the issues I’ve had with Scottish Power in respect of SEG I’m losing the will to argue with them. I just want them to make sure that they are going to pay me at the correct tariff from the date of the last meter reading, however I feel I’ve not made my last call to them or submitted my last email regarding this.0

Glad to know you've been paid!Do you have an export meter reading for the tariff change day, or thereabouts? If you do, you could challenge SP about it.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

Wow - just reading all these posts is quite depressing. I was originally trying to make an SEG application with British Gas - but gave up in frustration at the lack of will to help. I chanced upon the Scottish Power application which is all on-line and took a few minutes - looks like I have a long wait to hear from them. Its a pity Octopus do not accept 'non supply' customers for SEG - or do they ?0
