ANYONE........ANYONE using SC for SEG must be stark raving mad. I dont think in the 50 odd years I have had electric accounts with various companies, there has been a more useless one than SC. They use a spanish website. Call up sc....good luck, input readings and your ref number isnt recognised.....good luck. I'm off to British Gas. 15p
Think you just need to say anyone using SP must be absolutely strak raving mad!  Absolutely the most godawful company it has ever been my misfortune to have to deal with - in any decent country their licence to trade would be revoked and they would be forced to close down.

Deep seated hatred of Scottish Power and all who sail in her - would love to see Ofgem grow a pair and actually do something about it.

Further to my earlier post, after getting the ombudsman involved we managed to get our first payment, Scottish Power decided that as they already had our bank details for the old FIT and generation payments we didn't need to register for a Minfo account (which previously they told me I had to even though they had our details, but wouldn't send me the link). They also offered £100.00 compensation which I hadn't asked for as all I wanted was to be paid fairly for the energy we had exported. They paid our first generation payment direct into our bank account, but sent the compensation as a cheque! Our next export readings were due at the start of August so I went to the website and input the readings but didn't get a confirmation email. I also entered the generation readings on the old site so I could be paid for the generation and got the confirmation email for those. I had an email from the person at SP who had been dealing with our complaint so I replied to that to ask if they could confirm they had received the readings for the export, no reply. On 27 August we got paid for the generation figure, and shortly after received the statement confirming this in the post, but nothing for the export. I have emailed again but I suspect I'm not going to get a reply to this one either. I guess I give them a couple more weeks then email to give them 4 weeks notice of the ombudsman again.

A further update, I have not had any replies to emails but on 16/09/24 they paid the SEG payment into my account, and today I've had the statement via email.

Has anyone else received notification from Scottish Power that they are halving their export pymts (from 12p to 6p)? Can’t find this announcement anywhere else.
I am so disgusted with this company. They have put me through the endless stalling nonsense everyone else has been subjected to and now suddenly decide not to pay the headline rate at all. They’ve paid me nothing since November 24.

I've not heard this before, but it's not great surprise. Wholesale electricity is below 8p/kWh so it's not economical for an energy company to pay 12p SEG to an individual householder.
I've been expecting the energy costs to cut their export tariffs; looks as though SP might be the first to blink.
