Glad I didn't join those useless clowns0

I am tempted by the £50 offer to move to Octopus but the export rate per kWh looks better at Scottish Power.0

Only one word of warning. Octopus only accept MCS certification. I'm with Octopus, but I have Flexi-Orb (sold to me as equivalent, but not and another story).
That's the reason I went with SP.0 -
I called Scottish Power today and they said the SEG application is closed for the time being as the time it will take to sign up a new customer is over 1 year long! So they will only open when they've had time to process some applications.

I made an application to Scottish Power for their SEG scheme back in October. After 8 months and some chasing I have just got acceptance and issuing of an export MPAN number. This now needs to be registered. So this is a lot longer than the 6-8 weeks quoted on their website. At least I am finally getting somewhere.
For the comments about Octopus they only have good rates if you can go on their two tariffs Outgoing Agile or Fixed. As I got an EV in December and joined Octopus for an EV tariff from Scottish Power these tariffs are not available to combine. So this makes Scottish Power an attractive combination and probably why they are so popular for applications now.0 -
I applied to Scottish Power about two months ago. Other than the confirmation email, I have heard nothing - despite following up a couple of time. But given the comments above, I may throw in the towel and try Octopus instead.0

I managed to find a helpful person from my installer who directed me to their schematics which show something close to my config. Hopefully I won’t have to have the conversation with Scot Power about the battery energy can only ever come from the panels so it must be green! They can’t be so stupid as to think I would charge my batteries from the grid and sell it back at a hugely lower price……. would they?0
