I do not have the necessary "Supplier Code" to register0 -
Thanks I looked at the website. The first page asked for 3 pieces of information
1. Supplier code
2. Tax ID number/VATnumber/CRN, and
3. Verification email.
What are the first two and where does one find them?
A skeptic might think that Scottish Power are purposefully making life difficult.0 -
I'm also waiting for the MINFO email as received my MPAN email approx 3 weeks ago. Just debating whether to give up and go with Octopus instead.0

Hi I am also struggling with Scottish Power SEG. I originally applied in September 2022 and was eventually asked for a meter reading last month. I had received an email asking me to register my bank details on Minfo. I managed to register, using the Supplier code which was in my email, ignoring the TAX/VAT section as I'm not VAT registered and it isn't a required field. However I couldn't find where/how to register my bank details. I have since received another email asking for my bank details. Im still struggling. When I'm asked to log in it asks for my User Code (which I have no idea what it is) Suppler Code (which is in my email) and my Password from when I previously registered. All 3 boxes are required. I cant progress until I enter my User Code. Can anyone help please? It's probably something very obvious but..........0

Reading through this thread provides numerous reasons not to choose SP as a SEG payer, By way of a comparison, Octopus’ processes for settling up SEG payments is very straightforward. All SEG payments are treated as a credit on the monthly bill. For example, my July bill came through yesterday with an export credit of £75.11: the previous month was £169.00.0

Deep seated hatred of Scottish Power and all who sail in her - would love to see Ofgem grow a pair and actually do something about it.0 -
I am writing this out of frustration and upset that it would appear that so many others are in the same boat!!
Some eight months ago I registered for SEG payments and the customer service from day one has been nothing more than disgraceful. Fine to make contact via the chat for bills but ask a solar related question and nothing comes at all and then via email to SP anything other than snail pace is a miracle, not even a response to confirm you will be contacted.
I found it impossible to actually speak with anyone!
Where to send any request is another problem I eventually used all the emails of FIT@scottishpower.com SEG@scottishpower.com and Microgen@scottishpower.com after many failed attempts via other routes.
I did get a response, last week, after many many emails and waiting well over a month from the above and was provided with my supplier code number to access MInfo,,,,, another nightmare.
Once registered you get an email granting you access and confirming your vendor and user code giving you access to update your personal and banking details
After a few days of messing (Don't expect any assistance from anywhere) I accepted that my personal details could not be changed at all, entering my bank account details had to be done with a sceenshot of a statement added as an attachment otherwise I could not have it approved.
That has been submitted and intially accepted, I await confirmation of acceptance,,, stressful, you wouldn't chuckle!!!
I do not expect anything quick and have no faith in SP or their SEG application procedure.
The whole process is a nightmare and I'm thinking there is a massive reluctance to offer any help at all from SP so hope this will aid someone if possible.
I now wait and no doubt will send more emails to the above in a couple of months to confirm approval and chase payment,,,,, I hope and pray I'll eat my words but as for SP, appauling customer service and a company that should be ashamed of it's failed promise of " processing of your application can take 6-8 weeks" UTTER TOSH!!!!!!!!! Good luck and remain sane during your journey and may the sun shine for you all
Watch this space If I get paid/contacted I'll appraise you accordingly, hmmmmmmm !!
Regards PetePF

I found going to the top right of the screen and on the drop down arrow select English and then you can populate accordingly to gain access0 -

Definitely a case of SP casting the biggest sprat and catching so many mackerel that they are unable or unwilling to cope.1 -
I've just started the horrendous process of attempting to make the SEG application with Scottish Power. I have also just read the horror stories above!!! The application form just keeps freezing at the end and will not process through after around 10 attempts. Also phoned on every phone number possible only to get totally useless and incompetent operatives who I am convinced have been trained to brass of customers. It seems to me that their operatives are all reading from the set script and don't have a clue (i.e. CLUELESS) how to deal with customers and quite frankly don't have any inclination to help customers.
I had my solar panels installed by SP and naievely thought that the SEG application would be straight forward. But boy was I fooled. I have sent in a formal complaint by email so lets see if they can be bothered to reply. The only lever I have up my sleeve is that I haven't yet paid the invoice they sent me for my installation. I bet they'll suddenly become very competent when it comes to chasing me for payment0
