What? No...eek!DeltaH3937 said:Just my luck. Away at the parents with no laptop available and if able gain access, no way it’s going to be in for 1600hrs. Not a chance. I imagine I’ll be hit with the full fine in this instance now and have to suck it up and pay.
No, you just do it now! This is simple. You are in a race to beat the Claimant now. They WILL NOT have sought a default judgment today.
You just put it in tomorrow. You will still win the race. You are not trying to 'gain access' to anything - it's ONE EMAIL. You certainly don't use the MCOL portal. You don't even need a laptop because the defence is emailed as a PDF attachment with an electronic signature & the date at the bottom.
You could do all this on a phone in half an hour flat. Dead easy. We have a Template Defence you can find in seconds.
To find our Template Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Do not try to 'Start Defence' via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Leave that alone! Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
The Defence (see the NEWBIES and Template Defence threads at the top of this forum board) is done by email.
Please tell us when you've done it urgently, then re-read the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread, in preparation for the next letters (including the subsequent N180 form) so you don't have to ask us about the first steps (please).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Rightly mentioned here also, 1600hrs was cut off but they hadn't yet sought a default also (again as you stated) so even late, I got it in on the day, rushed and likely with errors but still, emailed directly via scanned/signed PDF to courts as well as GS - not via MCOL read only portal.
All above using my parents USELESS/SLOW/OLD laptop, much to my frustration too ha!
fyi, template used was for residents fob access car park of which I have a right to park.
Submitted, email received back from their auto reply with acknowledgement happy days.
I've also already received an email from 'legal assistant Samantha' at Gladstones serving me with a 'DQ' of where they have offered to mediate and I remember seeing on the newbies section that this is standard and to ignore/proceed as per steps in the process. will do!
Attached below is the redacted emailed letter received1 -
TBH not sure if i've done it all 100% correctly but I am trying haha! with your help and guidance legal legends haha

They have sent you THEIR completed DQ; wait for your own blank DQ to come from CCBC or download one of you wish. Instructions for filling it in are in the NEWBIE sticky or the 12-point list in the template defence thread.2

I can't see what to/how to complete this section (attached ) as D1 is named differently (court location) in the how to for DQLe_Kirk said:They have sent you THEIR completed DQ; wait for your own blank DQ to come from CCBC or download one of you wish. FYI, I believe their DQ forms have changed slightly hence D1 shown here is actually not listed in the newbies section and E1 is in fact D1 as stated on the 'how to complete the form'DeltaH3937 said:

fyi, template used was for residents fob access car park of which I have a right to park. That's fine. That one was written a while back by bargepole, so all good. Game on! So glad you did it in time.Re the N180 new questions, as you'd expect this is already covered on the forum and people keep asking about it on individual threads, as if it's not cropped up before! It has. Dozens of times in the past month. There is nothing new here! Anyway:
This N180 addition happened a month ago and all you need to do is search and change the filter to 'newest'.
A clue: look for the thread about it by @GrizebeckPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Located relevant info for the new form, but here's a question..
Claimant using old N180 form, and their form to me, although they state is completed is A) file named '!DUMMYDUMMY! as well as
N/A in 'hearing venue' for a court they would like to use. 0 -
No court requested as they are looking to mediate of course. I'll continue as if court/papers hearing requested with an immediate rejection on the N180 form as suggested.DeltaH3937 said:Located relevant info for the new form, but here's a question..
