No WiFi Calling here either.  It didn't show on my Pixel 5 nor my new pixel 7.

What's interesting, as soon as stuck my work vodaphone contract SIM in, it instantly appeared.  Soon as I removed it, it disappeared.

It's absolutely 100% a Lebara problem. Don't them them BS you with anything else.

Also, it appears Google support page (and vodaphone) is incorrect as to how to enable it.

    It says:

    Open the Phone app .
Tap More More And then Settings.
    Tap Calls.
    Tap Wi-Fi calling.

    However when I had WiFi Calling only the vodaphone SIM, I found it in;

    Settings. Network & Internet, SIMs

From what I can understand it needs Lebara to send the provisioning information to Google and then Google to update Pixels with it - I've got cases open with both Lebara and Google to try and work out what's going on but it's like banging your head off a brick wall with both companies!

After my many previous complaints on here, it is now working on my Samsung (Android 11).
Literally just tried it at random today, and it actually works!
I was one of the first to be informed that I had it available but it's never worked up until now, although my last attempt was probably a few months ago.

I raised a complaint with Lebara 1 month ago that they are advertising VoLTE and Wifi Calling with Lebara branded help pages for pixel devices on their website (https://devicehelp.lebara.co.uk/google/pixel-6-android-12-0/calls-and-contacts/turn-wi-fi-calling-on-or-off/). I suggested that this is false advertising and these pages should be removed. Three weeks later I received a totally irrelevant reply, I've chased but they seem to be ignoring me.

Still I'm paying absolutely nothing for the first 6 months (£1.95 p/m and £12 cashback via Quidco) so I'm prepared to put up with the poor service and the lack of these features. If I couldn't get a Lebara signal at home then I would have left them by now.

Also for information, a friend of mine was today informed that they are switching off 3g for Lebara users in his area (Winnersh and Basingstoke). They are switching off different areas one at a time.

To clarify, it is Vodafone that is switching off 3G, it applies to all users of Vodafone, not just Lebara.

  • I use a OnePlus 8 5G and moved to Lebara recently - I found VoLTE VoWiFi also didn't work for me. I moved from them to ID Mobile and it sometimes works but not always - reading online some people have had similar issues. I'm now about to move to SMARTY and hope it works there!

I moved a few months ago from Smarty (with wifi calling) to Lebara (with wifi calling after a brief delay).  I received a questionnaire from Smarty afterwards asking my reasons for leaving.  One of the multiple choice options given by them was the fact they don't offer wifi calling !!
  • Regarding the Pixel issue, Lebara has said:

"We would like to inform you there is a known issue from Google stating that they have not configured WIFI calling for the customers using Lebara SIM and they are working on it to get the WIFI calling configured on all the devices. You will have to contact Google for the update."

I contacted Google on a web chat and they said:

    "Send a feedback report
    Open your phone's Settings app.
Scroll to the bottom and tap About phone And then Send feedback about this device.
    Type your feedback.
To include your system logs, check the 'Include system logs' box. These logs help Google when you report a technical issue.
Tap Send Send. Your message, system information and email address (if you're signed in) will be sent to Google."

They said they're part of the tech team not developers but they'll raise it with the devs and the feedback method they've described will also send to devs. I would encourage as many people as possible to do this straight to Google as Lebara are clearly uninterested.

Yep I raised it with both of them months ago but neither seem interested in fixing it or possibly escalating it. Very frustrating!

Thanks, could you send feedback the way Google have described in my post please? I'm hoping if we all do this it will raise our profile to get a resolution.
