    that looks pretty definitive @d123

Seems that Lebara CustServ are less than clued-up on this subject.

If a business is going to trumpet about it's fantastic new proffer then perhaps they ought to update their helpdesk staff's scripts.

Unfortunately customer services is often the last to properly know about new features and will make stuff up to appear knowledgeable, and that's true for a lot of the networks.
And while stating it only works on Android 12 is incorrect, it may be that it is only supported on 12.

We all know what a minefield Android versions, models and firmware variances can be.

Yep, this is exactly what I think has happened and what Lebara mean.
Lebara (Vodafone) are only guaranteeing support / compatibility on Android version 12 and higher. It may still work with earlier versions of Android or phones they don't have on the supported list - it's just that they won't help you troubleshoot it if it doesn't work.
  • Hi, still doesn't work on Samsung S20 5G phone which is running Android 11. Have tried many time to get in touch with Lebara support but they never answer my emails!

Have you tried their Live Chat? They've been quite good on it in the past.

Do you have the wificalling option in your settings menu?

  • The option for wificalling is there but after turning it on the icon is supposed to show at the top of the screen, and it doesn't. I did try Live Chat but their help was to turn off/on my router which didn't help and I was told they would look into it and get back to me, which they didn't which is why I have been emailing them instead - 3 emails so far and no answer!

I have Lebara and wifi calling is selected in my phone's settings. The wifi calling "icon"at the top of the screen only shows when there is the need to use it. It shows to the side of the signal strength bars.
Whether different phones display that it's selected, even when not required, don't know.
Wifi calling is selected but not needed at the moment because the network signal is o.k..
    No wifi calling displayed.
  • Can be tested by turning on airplane mode and then turning on wi-fi.
  • Poor network signal this results when connected to wifi.

  • Being British, I prefer aeroplane mode! B);)

I've tried the aeroplane method to get mine to work- also Samsung Android 11- it just doesn't work.
I also have the option on the phone so it is a network, Lebara, issue.

I tried Live Chat and got absolute nonsense about my ISP (Plusnet) blocking WiFi calling.

Just to confirm, you turn on aeroplane mode and then go back and turn Wi-Fi back on?

Android also changed Wi-Fi calling priority so you have to have virtually no signal before it activates (some networks override the default, Voda doesn't).

Lebara doesn't have any unique settings for it, it's simply Vodafone wificalling and any phone that is said to work on Vodafone should work on Lebara.
