Thrifty, that's fab news re dh!Today I am grateful for not getting too wet, for fun at the fair, for my sister helping me with bl00dy train strike shenanigans and cancelled trains I'd already booked on, for having 2 bank cards to buy 2 tickets as each ticket rejected a different bank card, for dc being ok, for dark chocolate.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7

Thrifty - glad it’s going in the right direction for DH.
I think this is the lowest Sunday sweep I’ve had since starting it.Food £14Transport £0Leisure £5Driving has demolished our transport budget this week. It’s the first time in a very long time that I’ve overspent in transport. Some of it was for work so I’ll be able to claim expenses, but I don’t think picking up Dad and partner from a Diana Ross concert or driving them to the airport today will get by our finance team.Yesterday I took DS to an organised kids picnic in a park, then to Costco.mpany to get a gift for his nursery teachers (a box of fancy chocs), and then OH joined us to take DS for his first covid vaccine. Came home to OH having prepared dinner - a definite gratitude as I was beyond shattered and only had the energy to make them a raw egg. After we’ve taken dad to the airport today, we’ll be heading to DS’s other grandparents’ house. OH’s dad ended up in hospital after a fall. He’s a bit battered and bruised, but he’s home so that’s good I think.Grateful that this busy work week is done (the work continues next week but it should be less), for the fun and sun at the kids picnic, and for the sun showing up this morning alongside the birdsong.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸9 -

Be the kind of woman (turtle - this thread is inclusive) who believes that she is capable of doing amazing things in this world. Be the kind of woman (turtle) whose own dreams make her nervous - and then go ahead and do them anyway. Be the kind of woman (turtle) who never asks permission to be herself. (Rachel Hollis)
Things to do every Sunday
1 Set your weekly goals
2 Set a meal plan for the week
3 Do some grocery shopping
4 Plan your weekday outfits
5 Set aside some time out for yourself

Right just dropping by, a very mixed week. Relieved for finally having booked my tickets out for my holiday. I am planning on going to stay with family for weeks! up to 2-3 weeks in other country. Then hopefully after that I will be all caught up, with people and places.
Main aim is swimming, writing, drawing and socialising. Boom.
Grateful for the rest of the afternoon to myself. As boys are taking dad out - presumably in my car! Ds2 has insured himself and basically has the car for the summer, as I don't really need it. Happy days.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

NSD 7 and 8 this weekend. There have been things I wanted to go to, but I have lain on the sofa and read 3 books instead, which can now leave the house - so technically I am tidying (nods wisely). The laundry is on the line doing its thing.I am not feeling calm. Can't really describe it, unmotivated but antsy? Not sure. Whatever it is, it needs to go away. So I did not go out. Did my 'reverse meal planning', I have always 'reverse' meal planned, it is how I do my meal planning, seems it has a name and was in the weekly newsletter-y thing. Well there you go.Celebrated on Thursday that there were only 6 months left until the kids break up for the School Christmas holidays (Bang! Yelp! Ho Ho Ho!) That is the big half yearly milestone for me.I need a diary for 2023 already, DH has started throwing his dates at me, so I need to buy one of those tomorrow.I seem to be focussing more on the end of the year rather than the Summer holidays. Maybe I need to think more short term. Less than 3 weeks until school ends, then I have 7 weeks to do my own thing.**anyone else's signature gone back to March 22? good to hear that news about OH Thrifty_Taylor
I have had a mixed weekend - did some cleaning and sorting yesterday then went to a nearby town and bought DD1 a photo frame from a CS and a book from an independent bookshop & did a small shop in the SM - bought lots of cat food including own brand in the hopes that cats will tolerate it ....
Did done some of my self employment work.
DD1 and boyfr went away for a night visiting DD2 but DD1 was extremely anxious and didn't enjoy it at all; I couldn't sleep with worrying so got up and watched TV till 2am.
Today i've been for a walk around a NT house and gardens and adjoining fields (14k steps), i drove & friend treated us to tea and cake
Called at the c00p on the way home to spend on my voucher products so got 50p off; also found 2 x YS sourdough loaves so they are in the freezer.
Gratitudes - nice friends; being out in lovely sunshine and scenery; leftovers for tea

No default to march for me, F0xh0les. Is it because you used the C word??? Well, I think I've not changed mine since Feb. But now I'm not so sure...!!!Today I am grateful for not having to go anywhere, for reaching a milestone of 95% of my marking, for yummy fresh strawbs from the garden, for getting permission to stay home with dc tomorrow, for getting laundry dried before the rain came pelting down.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6
