yesterday i was in the office, came home and went straight to my exercise class, small spend on class fee, had a bath and then went to bed
Today i have WfH, did some of my self employment job in the morning then my FT job in the PM.  Had a virtual meeting about pensions and deleted loads of emails while listening to the presentation. DD1 came for tea, then i went for a walk and did some of my self employment work.  Picked up some lovely free casserole dishes and a gratin dish from Fb.  NSD.

Gratitudes - lovely free Worcester pottery, so pretty; nice tea with DD1 who was a bit more cheerful today; putting in an invoice for my self employment job

Belated happy birthday @f0xh0les. 

I’ll be 37 in August - I wonder if I’m the youngest turtle? 

One of two big work events done! Got home after 10pm last night - waaay past my bedtime. Tonight’s the second event after which I’m picking up Dad and his partner from the Diana Ross concert.

OH is in a major huff with me at the moment after I broke the news 2 days ago that we do not have the finances to maintain a garden room. We saved the money to build one but with energy bills skyrocketing along with everything else, it’s just not affordable. Electricity would be needed to heat it, light it, and power electronics like the TV! To be fair, he’s wanted one for quite a while, he was so excited about it, but things have changed a lot in the last number of months and there are more hikes to come. Anyway, I hope he comes out this huff soon because it’s starting to get to me. Trying to be calm and understanding but I feel my patience starting to wear off. 

Grateful yesterday for event 1 of 2 going really well, for DS’s school uniform arriving, for finding coupons in a free newspaper that got me and some colleagues a cheap McD for dinner before working at the event.

Well, yesterday was NSD no 8 as I really did do nothing at all. Unlike everywhere else it's pouring down here. Really heavy rain. So I think it's a day for indoors and catching up with the dreaded housework.

I'm back, sorry for my absence. I came on yesterday, updated the daft holidays list, went to my email to pick up any 30 Days Wild stuff I hadn't mentioned and then the cursor stuck and I hadn't posted the first list, so lost it and the old laptop didn't want to do anything. Was up till gone midnight doing my PIP form and then as soon as I woke this morning. Went to the library, got it all photocopied and then took it to the GPO (it's free to post but I wanted proof of posting).

Old laptop does not want to cooperate. Wasn't set up for the forum on this laptop, couldn't remember my password (complicated one) so I'm now grandmanerd. Hope I don't get in trouble (admins could you close my old mothernerd account please) but couldn't face going through old notebooks and scraps of paper trying to find my old password. Not sure where I'll be up to with pin ter est and UC people (can vaguely still access my old e-mail, I think.

Evening Turtles. Happy Birthday f0xh0les, I hope they all remembered! Hugs beanielou, I too am nearing the big 60 next year! Hugs Tonisfriend , I really hope things get better for you soon. And welcome Grandmanerd, that names going to take a bit of getting used to!
Today has been a bit hot here, but not as hot as I expect some of you have had as we are on the coast so we only made it to 25 (sorry Tonisfriend!) DS1 is still in Canada and they have had 30 degrees, thunderstorms, hail and a tornado warning!
In other news DS2 has had his employment ‘terminated’ for having more than 5 days sick leave in his probation period.  Maybe he should have just gone in with Covid. He is supremely unbothered as he didn’t like it anyway and they are paying him to the end of the month! Oh to be 19 again and have no responsibilities!
Today I am grateful for losing another pound, yay! DS2 not being bothered and my fan!
