Evening Turtles. Not an NSD today as DS2 came home from work early again with an upset stomach. This has been getting worse for a few months now and he is getting a bit panicky as he has only just had a week off with Covid. I think he has IBS, so off to Mr T for various pills and just to be on the safe side lactose free stuff as he is intermittently lactose intolerant. The doctor is sending him for a blood test, but I couldn’t get him an appointment until 1 July! 

Today I am grateful for DS2 listening to me and trying my suggestions which seem to have worked, DD managing a whole day at work (she was a few days behind the rest of us Covid wise) and another lovely day.

More of my first aid course today, but we all whizzed through it, & including a teabreak & the test, we were finished by 11am!!! Needless to say, I passed 😃 DS2 was waiting in the car, as he had an interview for a course after summer at 1pm. It was raining & he didn't want to go for a walk, or anywhere else, so caught up with emails. He thinks he's got on the course, so that's another thing ticked off the list. Had lunch when I got home, filled in my budget sheet for the last week, then did some sewing. The suit shop must've been happy with the work I did for them at the weekend, as they phoned today with another one! Did the ironing after tea, then watched the last 2 episodes currently available with DH. Off to bed shortly, ready to take him to the airport for his overnight hospital stay, before I go to work tomorrow.

Grateful for passing my course, my nausea & upset stomach first thing this morning disappearing, DS2 doing ok in his interview

ouch Beanie, sending gentle hugs.

i think my work assessment interview went well. The doctor was lovely. very concerned about the amount of pain I was in and wanted me to have a taxi home (they pay). She thinks I should talk to the doctor about stronger painkillers. I opted for the bus, had a toddle round town (picked up food but no shopping) and spent the afternoon resting once my parcel arrived - new device so now have some of my favourite games back.

Well, we went for a walk yesterday. That's the good news. Bad news - we found out last night that someone we had both worked with had passed away.

We've just been to visit the Boy so I could give his flat a bit of a tidy. Unfortunately his father was there unexpectedly. We said hello and he completely ignored us and went into the kitchen where he stayed until we left ten minutes later because the atmosphere was so uncomfortable. You would have thought that after 25 years of ending our marriage he would have got over it especially as it was this kind of behaviour that caused the break up in the first place (well partly caused it). But no. He hasn't changed a bit. Still nasty, unpleasant and controlling. Himself was starting to come round again but these two incidents have sent him plummeting back to square one or minus square one. I could scream but I won't. I shall sit here, take deep breaths and plan something nice. Don't see me doing much today though.

Tomorrow is another day.

Hugs Toni's Friend re. the ex. You can only manage your own response to his behaviour (which you have done admirably!). Well done on the 2lb weight loss too!!! 

Not sure what happened yesterday... but I had a late night, no shower before bed... so a bit of habit slippage. All since starting back at work - so must try and manage work-related stress better... Or change jobs! Thinking the latter may be the eventual outcome though!

Today I am grateful for:
1) The nice team I share the office with 
2) Another beautiful evening walk in the park
3) An afternoon to myself

Today/yesterday were spend days. Will leave wallet at home, handcuff hands together, and staple mouth shut so have no way of spending money tomorrow!!! Still on NSD number 4!

Managed to wake everyone up, cook my lunch for today & tomorrow & take hubby to the airport before work. Got out of the car just as the bell went. Realised later that we'd forgotten to put the bin out for collection. Oh well!
Work went ok, the headteacher & another member of staff both said they were glad I was back today, after my course. Arrived home at the end of the day to find the anniversary deckchairs have arrived. Hoping it's sunny at the weekend, so we can christen them in the garden 🤞fed everyone, washed up, sorted out the cats, watered the tomato plants & ran a bath for the boys. Will be my turn in a minute.

Grateful for welcome back comments, young pupil (can't speak much) saying bye bye Mrs Taylor to me, a delivery of some quilting magazines from friend's mum, a beautiful 🌈 after a HEAVY downpour, hubby getting on ok in Aberdeen (his first appointment wasn't until this afternoon, so he went exploring. He took photos of some Magpies, helped some old ladies with their shopping bags & pushed an old man in a wheelchair up a ramp ❤️)
