Goodness. Everyone has been very productive. I was hoping to do lots today but I've just woken up. Can't believe it. I never sleep until this time.
Yesterday was an NSD, No 6, I think. I'm beginning to lose track. I got everything on my list done apart from wrapping the birthday presents that I've bought Himself so far because I couldn't get him out of the way. Another list prepared for today.
Feeling a bit at sixes and sevens so better get on.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
4 hours sleep last night. Was wide awake until gone 1.30. DH came home (yay!) after 4 days away. Totally knackered. Fell into his laptop, then proceeded to snore all night. Really Gobby Blackbird was giving it some at 4am. Too hot to keep the windows closed, but people are sooooo loud at 1am, 1.30am, 2am, and 2.30am. Slamming car doors. Urgh.Today I will be a mess fuelled by coffee... Still, at 5.15 pm all my obligations will have been met, and I will be back at home. Not long left to go.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Yesterday's 30 Days Wild challenge was on mindfulness - the grounding exercise 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can touch, 2 things you can smell, 1 thing you can taste. I will catch up with the Wild challenge at some point - I know next weekend is backyard camping, if you want to prepare. I will be doing things differently, especially if the pollen doesn't let up.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Well it's been a good day so far. Took the bookshelf out of the bath, put it on the landing and put all the remaining bags on it (will get to them after I've dealt with the ones in my room). Picked out the bedding, then the clothes -on the bed so I could decide what to wear. Folded the tarpaulin and then had a sit in the bath shower.
Was packed and ready to go at 10 am. Dropped 2 books off at the library, bought a drink and a snack in the little off licence then went to the taxi office. Was deliberately early for my appointment and sat reading my book. Was getting concerned by 9 minutes past my appointment but it was just the previous appointment over running. Gave my link worker the rundown on what's happened since we last met and went through the 5 'D's strategy - will be paying for some work at mum's (Delegate0, a gardener to do the weeding, plant up the pots and keep it under control until it's sold, a cleaner for a couple of hours, rubbish collection etc.
They hadn't had the bus pass form when she had called in at the bus station office and doing it online would only mean them sending the questionnaire back to me so I'm going to do that myself. I've now been 'discharged' but I have her details to put on my forms and can contact her if I need help with anything in the future. I mentioned that doing things slowly is helping me the most and think mindfulness may be the way to go - it's therapeutic but fun (hopefully). I had picked up the leaflet in the library but the illustration shows people on a woodland walk, which isn't possible for me atm. She assured me it was indoor based (may be a lot of meditation) and it's at the same church hall as the food bank and SW sessions so not a difficult journey for me.
Came out of there and walked up to the main road. Went in one of our famous award winning pie shops and bought lunch then walked a block further up to eat in the little park. All the benches and the play equipment from the bit beyond the gate have been removed and it's been allowed to grow a little wild. It's not very big, the central path is 24' long and the sides are smaller. It's enclosed by trees and there are 2 clumps of shrubs. The 'grass' was a carpet of white clover and daisies with a sprinkling of buttercups and cowslips and lots of bees. I could still hear the traffic but not see it. So I ate and then just sat for a while.
Came back via the scenic route. Wasn't sure where to go so did a little zigzagging, some meandering but picked up 2 bags of pot herbs (chunky chopped cabbage, leeks, carrots and celery which I will eat raw with a little salad dressing) and 2 large fruit salads - a little bit of everything and cheaper than a box of raspberries, strawberries or blueberries from the market, a fresh large print puzzle book, photo corners and a larger bottle of drink (run out and there's no way I'm going to little Arseda later)from the stationers' and called in at the bus station shop for a bus timetable for Wednesday, asked if they had the bus pass paperwork (for people who have difficulty walking) and asked which bus went a particular route to the other end of the borough. She gave me the form, printed off the questionnaire and as I asked about photos (I could keep my glasses on) I used their photo booth to get photos - I can take it all back to her when I've filled them in and they will scan it through to head office in Mc.
When I got back, more plants had arrived and had not been travelling for more than a fortnight so were in better condition than Friday's delivery. Unpacked those and put them in water. I had told them to take bags up for me if they were going upstairs and Beloved had taken 2 bags. I brought the third and have been up here since about 2.30pm and not planning on going down again (oh will have to bring the washing in). Will do unpacking of bags and boxes as I feel like it. Messaged DS2 about their 'baby list' - they mentioned a 'nursing chair' - I used my grandad's high backed farmhouse chair with a pillow on the the arm .
Grateful for turtle socks, being happy (long may it last), being positive (think it's relief after the 'slog' of a weekend. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Mothernerd I still have the nursing chair that my Mum bought when she had me. It has been through me, my sister and my 3 children. I made it a new cover and it now sits in my bedroom, so it was a good investment 50 something years ago!

Evening turtles
Been in work all day, left home at 7.30am , back home at 7.00pm, feeling very tired now. Took a salad for lunch but there was some leftover buffet so i had cheese rolls and a chocolate muffin instead! Decided to have beans on toast for tea.
At lunch I dropped off a bag at the CS.
Need to do a bit of PT work this eve, had 2 whole days off over the weekend, was lovely but now playing catch up.
Today was a NSD.
Gratitudes - free lunch, productive day at work, plenty of food in the house (a week till payday)
love Deni

Today I dislike solicitors, I dislike HMRC, and I dislike stupid pointless forms I have already filled out once ( see lying solicitors).Today I love Turtles, vegan magnum knock-offs from Mr Leedl; creme carmelle; and coffee; 80 year old men who volunteer and act like naughty little schoolboys; friends of s/g who message me about how much they miss her; and knowing that soon I will be able to give them their inheritance.Gratitudes: not having the heating on, not being a slimey solicitor, having enough money in the bank to get by and then some, having a freezer full of things to make meals with, even if there is nothing there that vaguely resembles a meal yet.Avovocadodos. yeah baby! avovocadodos, may they never go the way of the other-dodo4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I forgot to post this yesterday:Another full on week at work last week. Our big annual event will be done and dusted by the end of this month… roll on July. This week’s Sunday Sweeps going to OPs and holidays:£43 transport£7 food£0 leisurePrices have gone up so much that my Sunday sweeps in food and transport are getting noticeably less every week. Only thanks to not being in the office are we still getting decent savings in transport, but fuel is ridiculously expensive everywhere and gobbles our budget in no time. It takes about £100 to fill our tank now. And we drive a lot: to see family, to get DS to nursery, to go to the caravan, etc.I mention it here because we are the NST and we report these things. But I feel a guilt having any money at the end of a week because I’m very aware that there are so many people in dire straits and are having to make extremely difficult choices. I know some turtles are having to make hard choices and I hope my check-ins never come off as arrogant or thoughtless. XNST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7

Grateful today for piling through work, for a strong wind drying my washing, and for the chocolate eclair from Mum.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸4
