Evening turtles
I've been very spendy today. Paid for hair cut and colour - thought i was having foils but just roots which is cheaperOrdered blinds for my bedroom and DD2's; paid deposit. Had also got quotes for the small room and kitchen but they will have to wait. Bought moisturiser in b00ts - almost run out and won't last till next month but had a £5 voucher. Also did a small shop in the SM.
Called at DD1's besties and had a lovely catch up with her and DD1.
Having a chilled eve with HM pizza & salad (all from supplies)
Gratitudes - walking to the hairdressers in the sunshine; lovely catch up with DD1 and her bestie; relaxed eve
love Deni xLBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

Evening Turtles. I am feeling a bit better today, managed a 3 mile walk and an ice cream which I could actually taste! Just heard from DS1, he will be back next month. Just trying to persuade him to wait until I return from holiday as last year there were a few drunk teenage barbecues which didn’t go down too well with him (he has a sleeping disorder) and I feel I should be there to referee. DD was no use, just allowed herself to be bribed with alcohol and food. They were apparently well behaved if a bit noisy.
When I went in DS2’s room earlier to give him some washing, a large ‘road closed’ sign had appeared. It looks a lot bigger in someone’s bedroom than it does at the side of the road. DS2 didn’t seem to have any coherent reason for its presence (I feel it may have been something to do with a bottle of strawberry daiquiri going missing) so I may have to make an early morning/late night trip to the roadworks it came from.
Today I am grateful for feeling better, learning DS1 was coming home and a lovely day.

Hugs to you & yours @Toni'sfriend.

3 personality traits I like about myself are being optimistic 99% of the time, helping others & getting stuck in (not afraid of hard work)
An overcast & showery day on our northern island. Had a lie in, then went for a walk with DH. Posted my letters (have sold 5 coins this week on eboy). Shortened a dress (2 layers) & the legs & sleeves of a suit for folk to wear to Prom next weekend, still have another dress to do tomorrow. Decluttered some TV programmes whilst hand stitching the jacket sleeves, then crocheted & watched the next episode of series I'm watching with DH on N3tfl1x.
Grateful for good music on the radio, a lie in & DS2 finally getting an appointment with Aberdeen hospital (though it's an video call one, not in person)Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Good Evening 🌓
Hugs Tony's friend. I hope the cloud passes over soon. When I get like that... if i can find it in me to do it... taking a walk in nature really helps to lift my mood. Difficult when its somebody else. Sometimes a hot bath or shower... lavender oil... if you can persuade him. I don't know your situation as I've been away - but sending you hugs x
Today I am grateful for:
1) A lovely day out with the family
2) Seeing Mum settled, and smiling
3) For the amazing team at the home where she now lives
Today = a spend day
Goodnight x

Thank you, Everyone. He finds it difficult to cope with the unpleasant/difficult/tragedies in life and when something happens he starts to drink. He drinks too much anyway in my opinion. But he was in a better frame of mind yesterday so that's encouraging. I agree, Abundant. I also find a good long walk improves your mood.
We didn't get for a walk as it was extremely windy. So much so that our local gala day had to be cancelled for safety reasons. Such a shame as so many people had put so much effort into it. Thankfully any perishable food (and I think there was a lot of it) was donated to charities and people who are struggling just now.
Didn't manage an NSD as I ordered our bulk buys which needed replenishing. But the upside of not being able to go out was that I got lots done in the house and organised a lot to do next week. The notebook is fairly bursting with tasks. First thing to do is check the meal plan for next week and see if there are any bits and bobs needed. Apart from fruit and veg I don't think so.
Still a bit windy and grey here. Hope it's better where you are. Have a relaxing Sunday.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8
