Today I am grateful for noticing my phone was ringing when I was in the gym (it's on silent in the day so I never hear anything), for dc being ok despite needing collecting from school 5 1/2 earlier than anticipated (eek), for dh sorting out my train travel that has to happen when they are striking and the direct route had no tickets available (I was panicking and unable to think straight), for my GP agreeing to a certain medication for me and giving me solid suggestions for something for dc, for my raspberries.

firsview said:Evening Turtles. All negative here now except for DS2 who I am sure is making a line by sheer willpower to avoid going back to work. On the other hand DD finally had to give in and ruin her 100% attendance record by going sick for 2 days.
I thought I was ok but almost fainted whilst bending down to shave my legs in the shower this morning, so they will have to stay hairy for another day or 2. I dread to think how Ill we would all be had we not all had 3 vaccinations.
Luckily OH is feeling better and has laid a new bathroom floor, it looks really nice although it is only temporary until I have a new bathroom (2 rooms need knocking into 1 and a porch with downstairs toilet needs building first)
NSD apart from decongestant spray and throat sweets today.
Today I am grateful for my new bathroom floor, Dad still testing positive but feeling fine and some sunny weather at last.

Sending hugs to all who need them.
Still feeling tired, but planked & skipped before breakfast. A mixed up day at work, got LOTS of steps in trying to distract folk & running after little legs! At least the headteacher noticed & appreciated my input!
Dropped sewing off after work & visited the fancy suit shop to collect another job. They were very pleased to see me. Picked mum up & we went shopping. Put it all away after tea, then watched a programme with DH. His plane back from hospital next Friday is now in the afternoon, so I'm able to go on the staff night out 😃
Grateful for managing to help in tricky situations, DH's earlier plane next week, Friday night treat of schnapps & chocolateUse it up, wear it out

Very tired but lots of clearing has been done and there's only a tiny bit left which should be easy enough to do. Records coming tomorrow in a 3 car convoy. Lots of drinks and food have been moved to the kitchen, fridge is nearly full. Clothes and other things back upstairs to the bedrooms. Small bookcase moved out of my room and behind the bathroom door. Books back to the library, 3 bags ready to go to the cs (there will be a 4th). WM and DW running.
DS3 actually came downstairs and said did I need help and has done quite a lot including moving large and heavy items that he thought I would struggle with. Don't worry if I disappear - laptop keeps sticking Cursor freezes) and I can't move between tabs just have to turn off and on again.
Grateful for getting lots done, for talking to my ex s-i-l and being able to reassure her about the buffet (her dad keeps inviting more people and th buffet's £9 a head), getting on with the garden. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Grateful for weekend, finally volunteering for parkrun, as can't run and it will get me out of the house. Finished a big job on my to do list yesterday, will be scratching at an other one all weekend!
Grateful for getting new windows on front of house on Monday - when I hopefully go(walk) back to work, but dreading the dust. 2 bedrooms and living room affected. Lots of tidying will need to happen today.
Grateful for ds2 coming home from uni - have filled fridge!

Yesterday I went to my self employment job, was late due to problems on the motorway but my colleague gave up and went home so brownie points for meLogged onto FT job in the afternoon.
In the evening went to my book group, was lovely to catch up and we had HM cake and HM caramel shortcake !
Went to sleep early so don't feel so tired today.

very grateful that I don't hurt this morning but also aware that bits of me are vulnerable (pain when I put my leg down the 'wrong' way and other bits when I've made too vigorous a movement so will go cautiously today. Basically I've reached my limit yesterday and if I try to push things any further I will end up in bed for a few days or sustaining more permanent injuries. Slow cautious progress today. Been awake about 3 hours but not even attempting to go downstairs yet.
Talked to ex s-i-l yesterday - sure the phone said I had over £30 of 'free' credit earlier in the day, when I got off the phone, I was down to £1.32 (still have £20 credit - the amount I actually paid for) but it did us both good. My cube boxes are slightly too small for albums (they go in but a slight angle). My other boxes (bought a pack to start putting away stuff in the kitchen for when it gets replaced, could then be reused for their removal packing) hold the records comfortably but are slightly too big for the cube shelves. so cube boxes it is. Think I'll start by extracting all the Eisteddfod- y things (thing it should be Eisteddfodau) - there might be some Welsh Folk music in there too but I'm not willing to put either on the record player (DS2 brought us one) to find out.
Northumbrian pipe music (small bagpipes - ish) I can cope with but I have my limits. Not thrilled about having June Tabor back in the house either. However yesterday I stopped myself from looking at records (other than what was needed to put them into a smaller box) in favour of sorting floor space for the things arriving today..
Okay I have a plan. Going to get dressed and take 3 full bags to the cs -made it as far as little Arseda after the library yesterday but think that's now another limit (chosen not to go several times and definitely couldn't do the charity shop later in the afternoon). I'm going to find something to line the bath with and chuck all the quilts in there and then box stuff up and put the boxes on top. Need to get my bed down to the mattress and nothing on the floor as a couple of things need to move (only turn through 90 degrees, not planning on carrying anything. I have chairs in strategic positions so mostly don't need to stand.
Showed Beloved the embroidery intended for her - she thinks it's COOL so with restart work on that sometime (alternative was for them to take the embroidery, threads and all the pattern pieces to convention and find someone who wanted it).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Something happened yesterday (I won't go into details) and it's sent Himself on a real downward spiral. He's a lovely, kind, generous man but when he gets like this he's very difficult to live with and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to cope with. I'm sure the mood will pass in time.
Because of this yesterday was a bit of a write off but today's another day so I'll just get on with it.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Hugs @Toni'sfriend you love them, but they really are hard to live with sometimes aren't they?Mothernerd you made me laugh, I have boxed up g/f and s/g's music collection - from Liberace, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, a whole host of Country&Irish - including 'The Sash My Father Wore' and other god-awful nonsense to march around your living room to. They also seem to have a thing about Scottish Army Band marching music too. What on earth am I going to do with it?? The classical and opera went to f-i-l. but the stuff that is OMG! Social History of its time stuff.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
