No Idee you aren't thoughtless or arrogant. I was sitting at the bus station and a man, who might have been older than me came past, using one of the tripod wheeled walkers and he was fairly dashing along (doing better than me) and the next moment an old woman came past using a square shopping trolley and really struggling, holding onto the handle but bent forward from the waist and her effort was akin to climbing a hill (worse than me). I was massaging my thigh muscle to ease off the pain and my knee was really hurting too, then a man came along using crutches with one leg amputated at the knee (worse off) - actually I thought 'I bet he wishes he was still having pain in his knee.'
I have no idea about my true financial position, only vaguely that I'll be alright in the end. I'm probably spending more than I have coming in atm but as I sat telling the link worker about the money I'd spent - on clothes because the ones I've been wearing for the past 4 years had between a dozen and 40 holes in each but I'd kept telling myself they still had some wear in them when they were making the sore patch of skin worse when I'm doing everything I can to nurse it better. little boots that don't rub the side of my big toes (thought I had cut one of them and was developing scar tissue) and they are easy to pull on, on days I can't face the chore of lacing up my other boots, the haircut and threaded removal of unwanted facial hair (make me feel good and reduce the time I spend tackling those), my happy socks - love love love my turtle socks, I can't say I regret any of it. They all had reasons and many were overdue (you keep telling yourself your things are okay and one day realise how shabby and scruffy everything is.
I'm going to put the kitchen refurb on hold but I want to get on with the drains and the back wall/ fence because they can be done without affecting the 'smooth running of the household' or more truthfully creating enough chaos to make me cry and I'm not generally given to crying. Tomorrow will be mostly tidying (I hope), Wednesday is my work capability assessment and along the way I'll start figuring out next steps on a number of things - maybe get a garden service to weed the raised beds etc. DS2 has brought the table and a shredder (oh joy) which needs cleaning (be still my beating heart). I must do my best to include fun jobs like planting up my plug plants and potting on my seedlings.
Grateful for perspective, empathy, fruit salad (really delicious and juicy and a good assortment), happy happy turtle socks, having space on the bed for me, gorgeous smell of my unlit candle, lots of ideas on where to go and what to do next.

Quite tired this morning, but managed 3/4 of a workout, then my legs felt quite numb & sore, so I stopped. Double checked my 2 day first aid course starts tomorrow, not today. I was right - phew!
Work went ok. Stopped to chat with a couple of colleagues at the end of the day & had a laugh. Taxi service for DS3 after tea, then replaced a coat zip.
Grateful for laughs with colleagues, DS3 was negative so could return to school & see his friends, turning down a job (see my previous post) meaning I won't be so stressed trying to cram it in & can have time to relax a littleUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Due to my laziness yesterday I didn't get out and about but I did get all the other things on the list done.
I am planning to go to Lidl today. Don't desperately need anything but it's part of my plan to get Himself to start getting out of the house. Weather is looking a bit grey but I don't think it's going to rain.
Let's see what today brings.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -

Today's 30 Days Wild Challenge focuses on Swallows, Swifts and House Martins. Numbers are in decline, so there's a guide to helping them, putting up a swift box, planting an insect haven (so the birds can eat them) and making a mini bog garden (think we have 2 of those in the backs but they're supposed to be drains.).

Today I am stressed beyond belief already.Have been to a solicitors, got things signed and witnessed and back in the post.I have done all I can do. I cannot change other people's inefficiency.Menu for today all planned and I know what I am doing.I am still in budget, but have lost my NSD paying a solicitor, even though I will claim it back as expenses. Grrr!I want to eat my way from one side of the fridge to the other. - Stress is a huge factor in my bad eating habits - that is why I do not normally do it, I am a sea-tumbled pebble, but right now, I am a total fire-breathing dragon nightmare setting fire to small villages and stealing sheep from the fields. Evening Turtles. I was a dragon today as well when I took one of my customers to the doctors and it turned out he didn’t actually have an appointment which didn’t go down too well after I had made a 10 mile round trip to take him and missed my lunch. He does have learning difficulties so he couldn’t understand why I was so cross with him.
Ditty, I feel your stress, my DS1 also has terrible MH issues since early teens (now 29) and has basically not had a life since then.
On a brighter note, it has been a lovely hot day here today. Unfortunately not an NSD as we had run out of bread after OH assured me he had put a loaf in the freezer. Probably in some parallel universe.
Today I am grateful for a gorgeous day, England winning the test match and DS2 getting paid and paying me back what he owes me.

Today I am grateful for being able to switch my plans around to accommodate dc, for a lovely lunch out with a friend, for finding a present for big sis, for getting a good liddle shop with plenty of f+v + tins, for home grown yummy strawberries.
