Good Evening 🌓
Thank you Mothernerd for your thoughtful (and amusing!) posts. They always give me something to think about and work on.
Apologies for no check in yesterday... It was the first day in over a week that some of my habits slid. Not really sure why... I think I just had a 'can't be bothered day'. I have been watching closely what I eat and found that wheat and sugar definitely trigger me to crave more/over eat and cause a drop in my energy and mood. Not enough sleep also does the same. Am discovering that mornings are not my best time of day... but that I flourish in the early evening. Being out in nature does me good - I just have to summon up the motivation sometimes to go. 10-day mindfulness streak and counting. Am really proud of myself.
Today I am grateful for:
1) My amazing therapist for holding the space for me to explore myself
2) A beautiful evening walk in the park
3) For my family and friends
Today/yesterday were spend days. Will aim for an NSD tomorrow.
Have a lovely evening folks x

I as very cheerful until lunch and then slumped a bit. I have my work assessment appointment tomorrow so need to gather stuff for that (including passport, their letter, diary pages). I have worked hard (I have 6 empty boxes in my room and can see the floor ) + 2 cs bags, 2 rubbish bags, 1 paper bag, 1 bag of pots/ recycling/ green waste to go back to the kitchen. Clothes have been hung up, there's another load of washing been thrown down in dribs and drabs, had a little nap (not sure I went to sleep but put my mask on and read my book).
It's very hot outside and hayfever is ramping up - multiple applications of eyedrops and sudden sneezes -at least I haven't bitten my tongue yet. I shelved lots of books but still have 3 piles I've accumulated since. Lots of things put away in drawers but still lots of empty drawers - will go through them again later but need to press on with the paperwork. Found 2 missing receipts which I couldn't find when I was doing mum's accounts.
DS2 phoned asking to borrow the dolly truck - the council will pick up his dad's WM for free tomorrow but it has to go out tonight., then I'd gone shopping (sandwich stuff and drinks for tomorrow). Had taken the laptop downstairs for DS3 to unstick the cursor (was in the middle of paying for new laptop). Was in the SM when DS2 phoned. DS3 helped me in with my bags then I collected the dolly truck from the yard and brought it to the front door.
Was hunting for the laptop but remembered I'd taken it downstairs. When I went down DS3 had gone to bed (so was worried that DS2or his friend had called for the dolly and I'd missed them. Messaged DS2 then came back upstairs for my phone - he's not coming for the dolly (I was bothered because it was past my bedtime). He did apologise. Think I might put fresh sheets on the bed, have a shower and try to settle down for the night. I'm only focusing on getting to the appointment and through it - can spend Thursday and Friday putting things in order and getting stuff done. Eyes are too sore to do serious paperwork now - will shuffle/ whittle down/file what I can (just finding the bits I need).
There's a duvet in the kitchen and another on the line but they're not coming back in here until all the papers are filed and labelled.
Grateful for help from DS3, easy food, an entertaining, undemanding book. Hugs f0xh0les, tomorrow will be better.
Oh postponed recipe box and made an appointment to see the Practice Nurse on Monday - cholesterol is down, most results normal, need to discuss blood sugars. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage10 -
Hello Turtles!
Hugs for those that need them, and hi-fives for the goal-achievers!
I didn't get out for my walk today, but I did sit and eat 2 of my meals on the patio. So nice to switch off from everything! The roses are in bloom at the bottom of the garden, and the smell of them came wafting over occasionally.
Another NSD for me, so I'm now on 7! Feeling a bit more prepared. My little fashionista sister's birthday is coming up, and I normally M00npig for the easiest, but I have a card, I just need to get a stamp (I can print one!), and she has told me she would like a Zara voucher. So she can have something she likes and it will all be in budget. Fabulous!
Tomorrow I will blow some of my discretionary spend on lunch with colleagues. It's at Spoons, which is not somewhere I'd go by choice, but it's all there is nearby.
Spent the evening doing reading for my crit group and now I'm going to take a book I have been given for free to review to bed! Might be able to finish it before I sleep, might not... night all!Keep reading books!

Evening
Today I've been WfH. At lunch i had a nice phone call with DD2. Then i rang the building soc and increased my DD for mortgage payments to half my FT salary and arranged to make a one off payment on 1 July when I go onto the standard variable rate. Feel equally scared and excited !
DD1 came round this afternoon; she is struggling with anxiety at the moment & is on the waiting list for CBT .
I'm doing lots of stress eating
Gratitudes - being able to make a mortgage O/P; nice phone chat with DD2; that DD1 talks to me and doesn't hide how she is feeling

Hugs to all.
Had a good day, was on first aid training. Glad I'd taken a packed lunch, as nothing was provided. Did buy water in the morning & a chocolate biscuit in the afternoon, but could've been costlier! We finished early & my legs were twitching with sitting for so long, so I walked into town to drop off the altered suit, bought the ordered zip for another job (forgot there might be sewing to collect - was given 2 bags full), then walked up the big hill back to the college. Visited mum for half an hour. She gave me some out of date bread flour, but sure it'll be fine for our homemade pizzas on Saturdays, then went to L1dl. They had white bread flour & peanut butter on the shelves, so bought a few of each & some fruit juice. The whole bagful only cost 12p because of my £10 voucher ☺️ Closed my eyes 10 minutes, then replaced a coat zip after tea & repaired the holes in DS1's jeans. Quick bath, then watched another episode with DH
Grateful that I didn't faint in first aid even when we saw photos (only ever fainted once in my life, when I was 16 & doing about broken bones), spotting nice flowers growing in a wall, chat with mumUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Good morning! More positive today, mostly cos the shonky solicitors reckon it will take 3 weeks to finish probate and the forms go in today. I have a goal to work towards now, and that means probate should not hold up the selling of s/g's bungalow. It is nearly the school summer holidays, nearly my birfday, and nearly hot enough to melt me into a puddle.Love drying the washing on the line in less than 2 hours.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Did a three and a half mile walk to and from Lidl yesterday and. of course, spent money but not too much and it did get us out of the house and get a little exercise,
Week 2 of the "diet" and I've lost just over two pounds this week. That's encouraging but I can see this is going to take a while.
Beautiful day here so I'm just about to drag Himself out for another walk,
Have a lovely day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Today I am grateful for lovely work colleagues, for getting out with dc, for being told information by some people, for the difference that eyelashes make on the elephants and giraffes, for fresh strawbs and rasps.
