A much less hectic day. Apparently it will get busier next week then I’ll be learning something else.I’m sitting in starbucks having two cups of tea. I couldn’t decide so I got both 🤦 I am determined to change my routine so I’m not just working and playing with the boys.
so this is scheduled thinking about projects time.4 -
Actual things contemplated- 2.
I got as far as crunching the numbers on buying a bus ticket (£84 for a month, ouch) and adding my pay to my a/c balance.
Sister Act isn’t feeling well so I bought some meds for her and decided to get the bus home. Watched the boys while BIL made dinner.
Feeling somewhat annoyed because I went to get the pudding from the fridge and it had disappeared. Brandy butter too 🥲 Reason no 173 to live in one’s own home. No pudding interference.

Bulbs have been planted. I say planted. I mean chucked in a hole in the ground. Some may in fact be upside down. Getting the mattock out had a very therapeutic effect but lord only knows what will appear in spring. It’s in nature’s hands now.I also removed nails from the joists in the floor. In theory the next job will be to lay osb which can now lie flat. I’m not going for finished. I’ve decided that for this year at least I’ll go for garret finished 😂
I have to pay the arrears on cc1 by the 19th. I was planning to take a gentle approach to repayment for at least six months while I try to balance everything out. I did think about making payments weekly as I find the time between paydays very long. Especially as January will be a five week month.2 -
There is a brandy butter thief .... scary ..
Glad you are enjoying the new jobDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Happy New Year/Hogmanay to those who celebrate.I am celebrating the fact that I have two days off, Guinness and yellow stickered cheesecake. If that’s not a holiday I don’t know what is.
I am also celebrating the fact that I still have a job. I managed to blow out a tire yesterday and worried that it would be seen as bad driving. Having revisited the scene of the crime though, I suspect it was a pothole what done it.6 -
