Happy birthday! Definitely worth treating yourself to more of those PJs if you can.

  • Am spending this week in coexistence with the cat, something neither she nor I are enjoying. She thinks I have been counting the minutes until I can get back to worship her. I think I can’t stand the sight of another living creature and just want to close the door on the world for an hour. Or seven.
Problem solving yesterday was to buy a crepe bandage to help me grip the hoover at work. I did try to buy actual tape but amazon wants to charge me £17 for everything I’ve been looking at lately. It’s back to the drawing board on that one as it was too slippy.
Day off today with no childcare so off to get my eyes tested and visit the dentist. Hopefully have some meandering time in there.
60k steps over the last two days thanks to being on walking routes. Fitbit has taken to suggesting I need recovery and remember to rest. I thoroughly agree but unfortunately work doesn’t. I am thinking through my holiday booking for before the end of the holiday year in march.
  • Hope the appointments go well.
I agree £17 seems a bit steep. A bit of bandage from a high street chemists? Or do you or sister have any old tubigrip sitting in a drawer somewhere?

  • Thanks for all the most excellent suggestions. I will be suffering through until payday then I shall give them a go.

Thursday MOT has come and gone. Eye test went well no change there so no new glasses technically needed. Although the optician did say my current ones were bought in 2016 🤷
Dentist visit was… less successful. Six x-rays, £153 and a course of antibiotics later I am still slightly reeling. I am due a follow up meeting (free of charge) which kind of feels like meeting with the headmaster for an unruly child. Very thorough dentist- he used the phrase stabilisation phase and I may have fallen a little bit in love.
More investigation and planning needed but perhaps that is best left to a week when I have not walked 147104 steps.
