    thanks everyone!

I had a chat today with NCO who manages my vanquis card and my very catalogue and I asked them to put forward written off requests in my name to both. They agreed and set my account for token payments for the next three months or until I get answers from them.

My family sent me £200 for my birthday and I have sold £102 worth in books on eBay and still 5 days left for 78 items I have on auction there.  All that money I put aside in my savings but I plan on paying off at least 4 more of my debts by the end of the month :)

I’m feeling very positive and I hope I can keep this momentum
TOTAL DEBT JUNE 2019: £38,233.87 Aiming debt free mid 2023. All bad debt written off / paid by January 2023. No missed payments in 2023. Only one active credit card to pay off! I DID IT 🎉

  • That’s wonderful news! And the best bit is, you’ve done this all yourself and are taking control of your finances.

    Bloody well done 👏

  • Thank you! I should have disclosed my issues a long time ago! MrLender written off the interests (cutting my debt down to half) and now this one totally wiped means more than £500 down on my total debt. I can’t believe it!!!!

  • A couple of quiet days over here, I am still off sick and I have been in a lot of pain so haven't done much other that sleep and watch youtube...

I sent an updated SOA to Tesco who are ignoring my letters (or at least being much slower than my other creditors). I sold some stuff on eBay so I paid my M&S credit cards arrears to bring it up to date. That CC is not defaulted and it is the only one that I wish to keep open and in working order as it is my biggest credit limit (2300) and I want to eventually use it for credit building! So I put some extra 183 pounds towards that one, hopefully it will be marked as up to date soon.

NCO and Arrow requested more info re health and SOA for their consideration of writing off debts so I have sent that already. Same with NatWest, the owners of my biggest debt (14500 personal loan), It would be a life changing moment if they decided to write that one off but it is extremely unlikely, as it is managed by wescot but as far as I am aware still owned by NatWest (albeit defaulted for two years).

I feel like i am making a lot of progress this month! I paid more than 400 pounds of debt, got more than 500 written off and my credit scores all went up today (hard searches deleted and no hard searches for months) so I am feeling very positive still.

A lot of other items finish auction tomorrow on eBay and I already have guaranteed of 200 pounds sold on that. With that money I will close my capital one CC and put the rest towards my monzo and starling overdrafts :)
