Back to work today and it did seem a long day! Boss commented that there was a lot of sighing going on in my corner and that i'd only got 5 minutes left till home time!
Called at HB to get some items for the 3rd Ukraine lorry leaving from a unit where I work. Bought a selection of toiletries, medicinal things and some tinned goods as it leaves on Thursday.
OH has been up on the roof grouting the parapet between ours and next door. Glad it is now done and I don't have to worry about him falling to his death.
Cooked butter chicken for tea. It was one of those oven roasting bag spice kits and was very tasty and simple to do.
Unfortunately budget has gone down the pan this month. I've already spent my allowance for April and won't be paid till about 28th. Still lots of days left to go before then, including a meal out with friends I haven't seen since before Christmas. Will only be something like 2 meals for £12 but may have to use some of May's budget. Slippery slope and all that.
Firsview - i know its not funny but i had to smile about the missing forks. At work and even in the cottage we rented on holiday last year it was missing teaspoons. There must be a cutlery fairy.
Gratitudes: getting through work today, one day left to work this week, lovely homemade cheese straws, finally lime jelly and cream for pudding. Yum. X

Good luck @firsview jr on the interview 🤞
Loved the Queen of the castle, it's made my day! 😃
First day back at the day job. Woke early & did my exercise routine, managed to stay calm in the lead up to 8am, as DS1 had already left for work, DS3 leaves at 8 & DS2 was getting picked up just after 8, so everyone was needing to get into the bathroom. (Oh to actually have a castle, so that we had more than one bathroom 🤣) work went well, my pupil came running up to me, to give me a hug, then later told me I was his favourite member of staff! Managed to leave work quickly to get to the dump before it closed - only had 15mins - stopped at the post office to post the memory bears, then get a few things from the shop. Have spent this evening shortening the sleeves on 2 coats, a job I don't mind doing.
Btw our bridge is made of stone & spans the overflow between the raised pond & the ground level pond. One day we plan to have a pump to pump water down it, like a waterfall. Hubby made the bridge, just needs to finish the handrail.
Grateful for a sunny day, finally being able to empty the chipboard out the car boot & pupil's complimentUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning turtles!
I love the idea of everyone wfh trying not to finish the kids’ chocolate haha. Bf brought some back from England last week which was gone in about 20 seconds.
No nsd again yesterday as bf went to buy masks. Although yest was the last day we had to wear them in the office, so I am happy about that. I will still wear on metro, in supermarket and possibly in the gym. I am sad to think about how many disposable masks I have chucked away over the two year period. On that note, I’m also annoyed with how much food I wasted last week when bf was away. Massively overestimated quantities and just wasn’t on the ball.
Meditation done today. Ran 5k yest. Back hurts today though but think it’s because I slept funny.
grateful for bf’s cooking, for the rain, for sleeping a bit better last night than the one before, for not having to wear a mask all day.Have a lovely day turtles!Student loan £5655

Booked to go back to Ireland, so not a NSD but it will be reimbursed eventually. I have no idea how many NSDs I have, not many as nearly every day has seemed to involve £1.20 in some car park or other to drop certificates off, or expenses in, or whatever. Have arranged to meet Estate Agents while I am over there.Found bags of bulbs that I bought before running off to foreign parts, so planted them all this afternoon, tidied up all the tubs and trugs and have them all planted up. If they grow, marvellous, if not, never mind.DH is leaving tomorrow for a weekend away in a field with his mates, so I am planning on making inroads into clearing and tidying and attacking the back room. There is stuff in this house that does not need to be here.I have been through all the filing in the house and removed anything no longer necessary. Finished it off this morning by reviewing life assurance polices and income protection plans. Everything is labelled. I may be becoming slightly obsessive. It is all done now, and will not need to be reviewed until next year. Selective obsession, maybe?Tomorrow I am going to walk down to the wading bird store, and have a mooch around. Kids are still off school until Monday, but I am leaving early Monday morning, so DH will have to do the school run for another week.I will be fully present and correct for May though, and reading along next week.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD 8.
Grateful today for getting really good feedback from manager on work I did, for DS finally trying scrambled egg (and liking it), and for getting a refund on delivery for an item I returned.

Still NSD 10/16 but only spent £1 for parking. Had expected to spend on ice cream but kiosk was closed.
WFH again, rubbishy day. People making mistakes that falls to me to resolve and always urgent! I have a day off tomorrow so everything needed completing before I finished today. Already dreading what awaits me on Friday including finding a parking space!!
3 loads of washing done and 1 load already dried on the maiden.Realised I have neglected my decluttering challenge so will catch up between now and Sunday.
Feels like April is a long month, still ages until pay day but even then it’s all more or less accounted for.
Starting to dream about what I want to buy once I’m debt free. I think I’ll do a wish list to turn dreams into a plan to hopefully keep me on track.Grateful for:
A meet up with a friend.
