Evening Turtles.
Thanks Mothernerd!Thrifty, loving the bears and Beanielou loving the cat bed!
No NSD yesterday or today. Yesterday had to go out for emergency cheese as some idiot rediscovered the sandwich toaster I had hidden on a very high shelf in the kitchen and it has had multiple uses per day and all my bread and cheese are gone.
Today I collected my shopping from Mr T. My 15 eggs were substituted for 10 eggs, why not give me 2 x 6 packs???
Today I am grateful for a walk along the canal, suffering no ill effects after my first attempt at kettlebell swings yesterday and finally closing all the rings on my fruity watch.10 -
Evening allI have just counted up, and I have managed 11 NSDs so far this month, so hoping to make the target of 16, which I don't usually do. Had a rushing about kind of day - walked to the vet's with the dog this morning, as they wanted an accurate weight for him to calculate the correct dosage of wormer and flea treatment. Then took a load of stuff to my sales unit (this involved dragging them out of the loft cupboard, down 2 flights of stairs and then down to the garage at the bottom of the garden, plus unloading the car at the other end). Finally supermarket shopping this afternoon. Ugh, hate shopping on Fridays, as it is so crowded! We usually go on Wednesday afternoons but couldn't this week because of other stuff. Then of course the shopping had to be put awayPut a loaf in the breadmaker and made some sconesDinner was easy, burgers (nice ones from the butcher's) in buns and salad. Used up couscous and potato salad leftovers from fridge. Now sitting down and intending to remain so!Grateful today for getting lots done, and my comfy chair!9

Today I am grateful for catching up on my marking, for pro bull riding, for finding a Russian-doll-but-a-cat version in a charity shop that a friend will love, for walking in the sunshine (and the wind), for dc coping well with day #2 of exams, for the weekend.

Thank you @Deni_debt-free_dreamer, @beanielou & @firsview.
Remember folks, if you're coming on a road trip, I live on an island, so you'll need to catch a boat at some point! Very regular boat service though, so you should be fine 😃
Forgot to add yesterday that I was also grateful for some free firewood. I'd spotted it in the bin store whilst supervising playtime. Got more to collect next week too!
A cooler day today. Quite annoyed mid morning at a temporary member of staff not doing her job properly & causing a problem for others to sort out. Still angry about it now!! Went to town straight from work, dropped sewing off, then collected mum & we went shopping. A late tea when I got home, so not much time to do anything else apart from put the shopping away. Feeling tired.
Grateful for it being the weekend, that there were no additional sewing jobs at my drop off point so that I can spend some time in the garden on my days off, word of mouth about my business & getting new customer enquiriesUse it up, wear it out

Thrifty - your memory bears look so at home in that chair! You are clever!
Beanielou - your cat has a face that reads "bliss" as they lie on that bed!
Thought I'd got a payrise of 30p/hour until a colleague said the minimum wage had gone up!The same colleague is leaving mid-May. Bit fed up as we are partners in crime trying to find out what is going on and also the only ones that ever speak.
Booked in at the dentist for a check up and x-rays on cracked tooth. Everything hurts it whether it is hot or cold. Also seeing the hygienist to clean them.
Blood results back today. Calcium levels back to normal so no further treatment necessary apart from Vit D tablet every day. Thank goodness.
Went a nice walk along the canal with OH this afternoon while stew was cooking in the slow cooker. Saw a pair of Canadian geese with 5 lovely fluffy goslings.
Have arranged to see my best friend on Sunday afternoon. We are planning on chatting/walking/crafting and lunch. Hope the weather is nice.
Collected about 60 empty shoeboxes + lids from shoe shop who have kindly donated them for the shoebox appeal. They filled my little car. Didnt feel safe leaving them in the car overnight so had to unpack them at friends house Thurs night, then repack them tonight. Every time anyone passed them in the house they fell over. What a palaver! Will drop them off over the weekend.
Gratitudes: A lovely walk, seeing the goslings, the free shoeboxes (even if they fell over all the time), a tasty slow cooker stew. X

Evening
Had a good day WfH. Also managed to get 3 lots of washing dried on the line. Nipped to town at lunch and got out some more library books and did a quick shop. DD1 came for tea. Called on her bestie this eve and had a cuppa tea then a quick walk.
Gratitudes - getting lots done both at home and work; finding my next book group book in the library; new bedding

Late to the party but your bears are beautiful thrifty!
Thank you very much for offering to run May for us mothernerd
Yesterday was a good day. It started off with a colleague spontaneously bursting into song and me joining in, and someone popping their head into our room to compliment us on our singing. Then another colleague turned up with a loaf of sourdough bread for me.
Finished work early and popped to get my hair trimmed. Was apprehensive as it is a super cheap place, but was perfect, no fuss and was out in 20 mins, but got a bit wet in the rain. So no NSD again today, but a fraction of the usual cost and I have a loyalty card too.
Went home via the wine shop. The guy who works there is a 4th generation winemaker and every time I’ve been he has given an amazing recommendation. I could tell it was lovely wine but I have to say I didn’t really enjoy the one glass I had. Maybe I’m going off it….shocker.... Fell into bed early after a video chat with one of my besties in NZ.
Grateful for really lovely colleagues, for seeing bestie’s kitten which seems to have doubled in size since the last time I spoke to her, for a good meditation session this morning.
Have a wonderful wonderful day turtles xxx

Sorry didn’t manage to post yesterday one of those silly stupid days yesterday!
ds went to a football day but lifts there & back got more complicated than should have been. Found a parking place near work but means traipsing through a park field! Very unproductive day in work so hoping for a fresh outlook on Monday & getting up to date!
Had an email about my pay rise. I was expecting 3% got 5% so will cover more of the recent hikes in bills than I expected but still worse off. I will wait to see how much my new take home pay is before looking at May budget. Also had our council tax £150 cost of living payment so paid that straight to EDF.
Lovely evening meal out last night with a group of friends so still NSD 10/16 only had mains & a couple of drinks so spent half of what I budgeted so going to use the other half to treat us all to a takeaway tonight so not an NSD today either.
grateful for
good friends
nice food
