Thank you Esmeralda, Shrewbie & Ldee, I enjoy making them & they bring comfort to the families left behind. Also happy to make them from outgrown baby/toddler clothes, to remember favourite outfits/times when your child was little.
Yes Deni, Orkney seems to be in a better position just now 🤞

I've had a great day today! Stayed in bed an hour longer than normal, then went for a just under 5 mile walk with DH. On our way back past the loch, we bumped into our next door neighbours with their dogs, had a natter & a laugh with them. Replaced a coat zip, then after dinner, I helped DH carry a piece of plasterboard into the house for the new porch wall, then took all the dried sticks & leaves off plants in one birder, then started weeding another one. Has my music on & the sun kept appearing between the clouds, so I was happy 😃
Washed the dishes after tea & knitted a small chicken for a customer.
Grateful for the porch taking shape, spending time outside & good radio shows to listen to any time (R2 Sundays, 10pm)Use it up, wear it out

Been to the tip, recycled all my bits and bobs, went to The Son of Morris and bought lots of lovely things for DH and the boys to eat while I am away. Sorted neutral coloured duvet covers for s/g's house for EA photos, if they decide lightly furnished is better than empty. Off on the boat tomorrow morning, Going to start chasing the boys around and dunking them in the bathtub before DH gets home. Easy quick food, no fuss, no hassle. BLT's for lunch with tigerous bread, the washing machine is going on in a second and line dry it all. Everything is organised, I am not going to be stressed. I am a highly efficent (bored out of my head) machine.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I’ve had a rare “me day”. I woke this morning, turned to OH and announced “I’m going to the shops… myself” i.e you are feeding, washing, dressing, and entertaining DS! I am outta here! 😂I only went to the shops for some hair serum and nail polish but came back with a denim shirt, a denim jacket, and a pair of canvas shoes too. I’ve wanted to get these items for a while so when I saw them in tkMx, I got them. The shirt was in their clearance sale so it was a really good bargain. I feel like I’ve got a whole new wardrobe just from getting those few items. After getting home, I had a bath, washed my hair, used the hair serum (it did the job), and gave myself a wee manicure. This evening OH and I are going to a local community hall for a small scale show. But that’s not why I went to the effort with hair and nails - it was really a trial for our friend’s wedding in London next month. I don’t want to pay through the nose to get my hair and nails done.Today’s Sunday sweepFood 6Transport 20Leisure 34Grateful today for time to myself, for finding what I wanted at the shops, and for another lovely sunny day.

Still NSD 10/16 will be tight to achieve it but can’t think of anything I need to buy this next week.
Had to pop out for a lettuce, ended up spending £10.20.!
DS scored a goal in his match today and I always reward him £10 as it rarely happens although it’s happened 3 times this month so that’s my £30 buffer gone! I may need to renegotiate that for May. Although he’s used it to buy a new hoodie which I would have probably bought him on pay day so it’s swings & roundabouts. However that could have also knocked 3 days of my DFD so need to think about it.
Grateful for:
DS playing well
A good footy match on tv this afternoon

Did a bit more in my room then went outside and painted a metal set of shelves silver (will have to check in the morning because sun bouncing off silver paint meant I couldn't see if all the light blue was covered) and part of a wooden set of shelves soft green/ turquoise. Had to come in because I could not bend myself at odd angles any longer.
Lunch was 2 slices of brisket with the remaining vegetables that had been cooked with it plus the rest of the parsnips and other roast veg. Tea was about a third of the tandoori chicken with a large salad (spinach, onion, tomatoes, mushrooms, celery, beetroot, one pink radish and two oranges).
More washing line dried, many trips to the recycling bins (put 4 half bricks and a small paving slab in the top of the green bin to squash everything down so I can pack more in) and I'm very very tired.
Grateful for lovely food, getting on with the painting, being able to get the same colour silver paint when I ran out, lots recycled and used up.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Evening turtles
safe travels f0xh0les
ldee - good for you!
Hugs to all
Achieved another NSD - think getting to double figures each month is always success for meI often lose a NSD for a small spend like milk to take to work etc.
Today i've spent more time decluttering in my room. Threw away a load of old tights, some good ones were put in the CS bag. Found some gift vouchers that were DD1's birthday presents from 2020 - all in date so she was delighted! Gave my neighbour the lids from our old recycling tubs.
Finished one of the library books i got on Friday.
Did lots of my PT work and self employment, going back to it in a minute.
Went for a bike ride this afternoon and potted some pansies in tubs. Weekends go too quickly!
Gratitudes - having a wheelie bin for recycled paper and card - making good use of it at the moment! lovely sunny weather; my sis who suffers with her MH sounding happy and upbeat today
love Deni x

I like Adrianne too @apple_muncher.
Decided not to join DH for a walk today, instead I shortened a wrap around waterfall type dress, then did more weeding in the garden. Sewed up the commissioned knitted chicken, so ready for posting now. I've read lots of my book today too, hoping that I might finish it tonight...
Grateful for a relaxing day, good books, birdsong (our Wren was very vocal when I was in the bath tonight)
