Evening Turtles. Last NSD for me today, lost count but definitely better than last month.
The house is in a state of disarray today as DS2 has lost his birth certificate and national insurance letter which he needs for his new job as he doesn’t have a passport. I normally keep these things in the filing cabinet but he had them out for something and didn’t put them back. Cue DS2 and OH flinging stuff everywhere looking for them. I am not taking part as it wasn’t anything to do with me, they will learn to put things away!
Today I am grateful for my sister giving me some Mr T vouchers, getting washing dry on the line even though it has been overcast most of the day and a lovely walk (France was even clearer today and I could even see some buildings)

evening
Been really busy at work this week. Spendy both yesterday and today, mainly cat food, used vouchers from the c00p to get 25p off a box and went to the shop of bargains for the home today as they are cheaper there so stocked up. Also bought some face cream i like. Did a bit extra work for my self employment job yesterday, was fine but stayed up to midnight to finish it!
Have been out for a walk both days and achieved over 10k steps.
Eaten well this week and did some dumbell exercises and squats when i wfh yesterday and my arms feel quite achey today!
Gratitudes - nice drive home this evening, chat with neighbour, phone call with DD2

Glad I made you smile @Shrewbie 😃
Back very achy this morning, did a few stretches in bed, then thought stuff it, get up & do your exercises anyway! Felt happy afterwards that I'd done them.
A good day at work, in the morning I accompanied a class to 'Bag the Bruck' (pick up litter). We went to the far end of the beach in front of our school. The sun was warm & we all had a great time! Shame about all the broken glass (kids not allowed to pick that up, but plenty for adults to do!) Had a meeting after school, so didn't collect more firewood from the bin store, the gate was locked too. Can get it tomorrow instead.
In the middle of doing the ironing after tea DS2 (age 17) came downstairs & asked for a hug. He's feeling quite low, can't stop thinking about the operation again. I'm going to phone his doctor tomorrow, see if she can chase things up a bit. Took his ironing upstairs & he was in bed, so I stroked his head til he fell asleep.
Grateful for a sunny day, fun at the beach, DS2 asking for a hug (first time in many years!)Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Thankful for some fab service received today, for DH taking time out of his crazily busy work schedule to come with me today, for DD taking DS3 swimming tonight, for my cleaner doing her thing today (currently definitely worth the money, even of she only gets kitchen, bathrooms and vacuuming done), for dry weather (and therefore washing on the line), for getting a couple of small life admin tasks done - ooh - and for it being payday!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207

Evening Turtles. Payday here as well so monthly visit to the Home of Bargains done, managed to only spend £50 (usually nearer £100) Mr T delivered most of my shopping, but I also had to go to spend the voucher my sister gave me to get the rest as it was in her name so I couldn’t use it online.
In other news DS2 has had his I.D. accepted so no more scrabbling through drawers looking for his birth certificate and I have come out in a huge allergic rash on my neck which is so painful and itchy it kept me awake last night. Went to the pharmacist who sold me some cream for it. Think it may be my new moisturiser, as I omitted to read the instructions which told you to only use it twice in the first week and I have been using it every day.
Today I am grateful for hydrocortisone cream (relief!) a conversation with DS1 in Canada whose MH seems to be stable at the moment and it being payday!
