Today was a bad news day but I’m somehow ok with it.
Dr called to tell me X-ray results - I have the beginnings of osteoarthritis in my right hand.
Our school placing request for DS has been denied on the basis that taking DS on would ‘make it necessary for the Authority to take an additional teacher into employment’. I’ll submit an appeal.
Grateful for managing to decatastrophise my thoughts, for the funny antics of birds and cats, and for sunshine.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5 -

Grateful for managing to decatastrophise my thoughts, for the funny antics of birds and cats, and for sunshine.
I have osteoarthritis in bits of me.

Sorry to hear your bad news @ldee2111, hope things seem a little brighter tomorrow.
Another NSD but will need to check the number, possibly 13.
Didn't do exercises this morning. Asked the doctor to phone me about DS2, which they did just as I was going into work! She gave me a number to phone at the hospital, & they told me his referral has only been submitted a few days ago, as he needed to be on the new tablets for a certain length of time first. Work was a bit up & down, so pleased it's nearly the weekend. Phoned the doctor again when I got home as DS still very anxious, but felt a lot better after talking things through with her & having another hug
Phoned FiL, had a good chat with him & my late MiL has long crochet hooks, suitable for Tunisian crochet, which I fancy trying, so he's going to post them to me. Saves me buying some! Finished making the (fabric) chicken after tea, then had a soak with my book.
Grateful that DS2 is feeling more positive, helping colleagues & them feeling able to confide in me/ask advice, chatting with FiLUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Dropped the empty shoeboxes off for the shoebox appeal after work on Tuesday night. Glad they've gone as the bags containing them tipped over at the slightest thing. Some lids may now be jumbled up but they say it's no problem.
I've come away with more necklaces to thread but it's quite therapeutic so I don't mind.
Dropped birthday cards, bunch of roses and some old magazines off at my friend's after work on Wednesday. Rang the doorbell but no reply so put cards through door and left rest on doorstep. Turns out the doorbell doesn't always work and she was there all the time!
Fetched money from village post office for mum as she's worried about getting it. They gave me some old £20 notes and she wasn't happy as garage had previously refused to accept old ones. I'll take them to the bank tomorrow for replacing. Also need some change for carbooting and trips out over the weekend.
Posted birthday card off to stepdaughter in New Zealand so hope it arrives for end of May. Not sure how good post is any more.
Still stuck on 3NSD. Will try harder during May although i will be away on holiday for 1 week. Can't wait!
Hugs to everyone that needs them. X

Hugs to Ldee
No nsd yest (again) forgot my lunch and bought a salad wrapped in plastic. Grr.
had intercambio with colleague before work, turned up very tired and with sleep creases on my face! Exercise and meditation done.
All my online purchases arrived. I’m sending around half back, there were some useful things in there but I’m still no closer to getting all the things I need. Want to change this habit but I really hate shopping in shops!!
Grateful for bank holiday, for fresh blackberries in my granola, for having lots to look forward to in May
have a wonderful day turtlesStudent loan £5655

Not much done yesterday although one of the bigger trees is nearly down. Today will be a spend day - cinema club this afternoon and evening and need to go and buy wet wipes - no water. I did buy 3 x 10 l boxes of water to drink as UU had warned that they would be doing work from last Sunday. Someone on the prepper thread had put up a no water needed shower gel which I kept intending to ask Beloved to order (she uses her mum's Prime code) but we were never awake at the same time. Wilko had packs of wipes reduced to 25p but they'd all gone when I went back.
I have some of mum's baby wipes, will try those first if they've not dried out (sent all the unopened ones to the food bank).
Grateful for progress (very very slow, watching all the snails pass me by progress), for nearly vanquishing the weed tree, for sandwiches, for secret baby joy (I think important people know but not to put it on bookface), for cinema club (Icelandic cinema this evening, humm). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
Today I am grateful for dc improving as the day went on, for a very useful visit to the Dr, for having a car, for a chat with a neighbour, for good music.

hi turtles
Achieved an NSD today; yesterday had a small spend contributing to a leaving present for a colleague and bought more cat food.
Had 2 busy days at work, tackled a frog for one of my PT jobs. Went to M£S tonight to collect a parcel; collected the package but it felt a bit flat when it was supposed to contain a blouse and some face cream. After the staff checked my name and order number and the computer saying no i realised i had a package that wasn't mine - it was addressed to someone else! Eventually was reunited with my own parcel. Went to look round the food hall but no YS bargains so I came home and had oven chips for tea. Tried on my new blouse and very happy with it
Gratitudes - lovely drive this eve to M£S, stopped for 5 minutes to gaze at a pond; a colleague at my self employment job complementing me on my hair; celebrating Fri eve with a G&T
Love Deni x
