Yesterday was NSD#13. Went shopping today after work, but it was only when I returned home that I realised I'd not bought any loaves of bread! Will have to get some tomorrow.
Made myself exercise before breakfast, was glad I did. VERY tricky day at work, though was stunned to receive a hug from the headmistress for something I did before things went t*ts up!
Asked DS2 if he fancied watching a film together after tea, expecting him to say no, but he surprised me by saying yes! Didn't watch a bit in the middle, but I'm happy he came & spent time with me
Grateful for spending time with DS2, my Friday night treat snacks & drink, & that I have 2 days free of work!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Yesterday was NSD 15/16. It was payday so replenished all the pots but not actually spent anything. Having haircut today so won’t be a NSD so just shy of the target. Quite pleased though as got through a difficult month unscathed. Thanks for running the April thread 😊

Library was closed 'due to unexpected circumstances' and both afternoon and evening films were cancelled. Was very disconcerted by my plans being knocked for 6 (had put a clean dress on and a cs bargain posh top). Finished reading my book, deleted lots of emails and unsubscribed to several, had a little doze and went out late on in search of 50p sandwiches. None available but did get a 10p pack of crisps and another 'choc' vegan snack for 10p.
Grateful for date paste and dark 'choc', time to think, possible solution to my fence problem (not sure about the gate), good book (went back to the cs I got it from but the others by the same author had gone - something to look out for in the library). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Hey turtles
Yesterday was a good day, exercise and meditation done, finished all my work and then went out for a couple drinks with bf. A holiday atmosphere all around.
Popped to Leedl for coconut yog and a huge bag of coffee beans that should last a while. Have just updated spends, I have €68 left in the budget for April, which is good. My holiday fund is pretty much spent though!!
Very grateful for the BH weekend which coincides here and in UK for once! for bf paying for dinner, for having some ideas for May’s challenge!
Have a wonderful bank holiday turtles xxx

Finishing on 17 NSDs, which I am pleased about. But I overspent my grocery budget, which I am displeased withI have lots of food in to last us into May, so hoping for small weekly shops next month. For dinner today I have taken some small marinated chicken joints out of the freezer, (which I will insist is enough for 2 days). I will cook them all today, and we will have half hot with roasted veg, sauteed garlic chard and gravy tonight, and the rest we will eat cold tomorrow with a jacket potato and salad. While the oven is on, I will also bake a spinach and feta filo pie - OH picked the last of the spinach and chard this morning and composted the plants. Just waiting for the risk of frost to pass now, so that I can plant out the summer veg.6
