I'm in the 'not too much progress zone' atm with OPs as well because we have such significant spends on the house improvements. But, I remind myself that I have OP'd a good amount already this year and next year should be better as Mr KK is adamant he is having a year off from working on the house! ;)

You've not done so badly at £1,188 reduction in a month :)

Love the fan girl at concert moment.

Well done on the money side of things. Sympathise on the emergency vet bills too.

Congrats on the new job - time back and a boss you love are worth a lot.

All kinds of stuff going on due to parent's health, very complicated and stressful situation which is likely to go on for a while.

Been signed off work due to stress and anxiety. Feel guilty and like I should be at work but current situation means I'd be no use most of the time. Only time I have ever been signed off was after carpal tunnel surgery and then it was supposed to be three weeks and I talked the surgeon down to one (which I don't think did me any good or helped my recovery 😞).

Been referred for talking therapy and got consult for that on Thursday.

Money wise, sold something for £350 so savings now just over £16k.  Going to use this time to focus on decluttering and selling to make my home calmer / more peaceful / less visual noise.

Key is going to be using this time to decompress, deal with family situation and look after myself. Anything else is a bonus so must be kind and not pressure myself or feel like I need to be constantly doing something.

Any recommendations for good guided meditation, particularly grounding ones, on Spotify, YT, app etc very welcome.  I struggle to meditate but really want to find something I can connect with.

Also going to try and exercise more - walking the dogs, C25K if I can find any of my sports bras which fit, walking generally. Be good to be outside more and the exercise will help my mental health.

I'm sorry you're having a tough time - definitely take the time you need from work.

Would something like a meditative yoga be helpful to you? Yoga With Adriene does some meditation videos, and breathwork, and gentle flows that can feel quite meditative as well as the more active videos.

That sounds tough going. I have always found tai chi a very good means of quieting my mind.

    Sending hugs x
