Serious chat with boss about how unhappy and overwhelmed I am and think we have a way to unblock a number of sticking points to make progress on getting more resource which will in turn start unblocking other things. Feeling a bit more positive but have also been here before so not taking anything for granted.
OH away for the weekend, meeting friend for lunch tomorrow but no other plans - bliss! Hoping to get some sorting and clearing at home but if all I am capable of is sitting in the garden with a book that's fine too.
Fantastic night out at the gig on Tuesday; before the show, the singer walked passed me on the stairs to the toilets and said hi and I went all fan girl and couldn't move, mainly because I was standing on my own laces 🤣4 -
I really hope the work thing gets unstuck this time … 🤞
Enjoy your quiet weekend - I love it when Mr KK goes away! 😉
The fan girl thing made me chuckle 🤭

Glad you got it too!
It's swings and roundabouts at work, quieter from a meeting perspective this week as so many people are on leave but I'm covering for both my teams managers and a number of their teams.
Much of the work itself has been pretty admin based which has been a relief after recent stresses! But still got quite a bit to do before next week so tomorrow will be busy.
On a huge plus side my manager is much more present with me and we are meeting fortnightly which does help.4 -
Need to do a post on current mortgage.
But in other news, I've been offered and accepted a new job! Back at my last employer, in a different role but working closely with my old boss who is the best manager I've had so I know I will have a good support network.
Had the interview with a panel of 3 (including old boss), they phoned within 1.5 hours to offer me the role. Negotiated compressed hours same as current role so very happy with that. Feels like a weight has been lifted.
Less money, closer to home (1 hour round trip instead of 2), 3 days in office instead of 2 so net gain in time.5 -
That’s brilliant news, congrats !Sealed pot challenge 822
