Ha Edinburgher that's a step too far for me and my lack of self control!
SH, I've always cashed out straight away for that reason but trying to rationalise the number of transactions through bank accounts.
Not an issue this financial year as earnings across all income streams will be below £1k but next year I hope it will increase so will need to register as self-employed and do a tax return. Will just simplify things in terms of recording and reporting.5 -
@savingholmes - I will have to do a tax return next time - can't face having to update an earnings spreadsheet every day or so3

Payday! Cashed out PA and Vinted, almost £40 into the FIF which stands at almost £250. Oh yes and paid by real job as well. Accounts stuffed until Monday when the money shuffle commences.
Off to visit family today, gig tomorrow night. Nonworking day today and annual leave on Monday, so looking forward to a bit of a break.

Mortgage - £291,412Reduction of £1,209
Helped by a short month as daily interest under £14 for first time based on interest / 30 although realise that's not real! Also realised we are still making small OP due to rounding up mortgage payment so that's cheered me up.
£8.5k in savings now, getting financially stronger each month.8 -
Friday cash out and another £60 into FIF from sales, profile etc. now stands at just over £300.7

Well done on the savings!3

Non working day so doing some work on side hustle. Got admin up to date to make it easier going forwards.
Got some things to sell for family, need time to test first then get them listed.
Bed change day and need to make time to clean and tidy.
Trying to make my non working days about improvement, be that financial, health, quality of life, condition of the house etc. just want to be able to say something improved as a result of not being at work.5 -
I like your attitude to NWD. I didn't have the same perspective in the brief period I had a NWD before DD1 was born and I always resented doing "chores" on a day off. Time's not wasted when you spend in on something/someone you love, eh?3
-
I always aim to go for some chores (the really necessary ones) early in any day I have off and then I get to ‘play’ (whatever that looks like) later in the day 😊 I do like your framing as chores being ‘improvement’ 😊
