I was paying £77 a month with eon on the current price cap rate.Today ive signed up to the v12 fix and from April will be paying £183 a month. The rates are:
Electric 33.58pkWh and 51.63/day
Gas 8.73pkWh and 27.22/day
I thought i was doing the right thing but im not sure. Does this sound like a “good” deal or would i have been better off on the variable rate?0 -
You would have been better off phoning them and asking them to put you on v11 like others myself included have done today0

I was going to do the one year fix, ended up doing the two. Though to be honest, the way things are going, I've no idea if these companies will be able to honour these deals0

I missed reading the email in full earlier and tried calling E.On this morning.
It looks like they have pulled the v11 and they were even able to tell me "You are an idiot for not reading the email in full, even though you opened it on Feb 26th at xx:xx & then on Feb 27th at yy:yy" - pretty impressive in terms of their tracking I must say & lesson learnt for discarding it as a "newsletter" at that point.
My ideal scenario now is to stick to the current tariff that I have (Next Flex) for another 3 weeks and then switch to v12 on a BIG assumption that v12 will still be available then. This is to save some heating costs (our health mandatorily demands it) for the end of winter.
I'll be checking online every few days to see if v12 is still showing and plan to call E.On should that disappear at any point.
Anyone think it's a bad idea?

My account was updated within minutes and clearly shows the current tariff and the V10 tariff with the agreed dates.1
