Is anyone else not being offered v11.  I got the e-mail yesterday about the tariff but by the time I logged on late last night, I was being offered v12 which is about £50 per month more expensive.

Got plugged by Martin Lewis, now been pulled as has 2 year fix
I had a feeling this would happen and it wouldn't last long.... i couldn't understand why this was not mentioned by him before..... luckily I managed to fix the two year deal.... hopefully others did as well.
    Titch :)

I missed out, was going to take the V11 1 year fix today, it's been pulled. I had a sneaky feeling come March 1st they could get pulled (kicking myself)
Anyways V12 looks like the only option now or stay on their Net Flex variable.
Variable for me £99 pm or fix for £113 pm. I still get a discount for paying DD on the variable tariff but not on the fixed tariff.
No-one can say what's going to happen between now and next October, or in-between for that matter re prices.

If you've had the email offering the v11 online fix, then why not phone EON to see if they will honour the tarriff, can't hurt to try.

If it doesn't have an expiry date for the offer - this sounds like a good idea. I'd do it via online live chat (I assume they have this facility) though if I were you - that way you can get a transcript of what has been said in case it's needed later!

To add my experience to this, I received a letter offering me the Online v11 a week ago and only got round to doing it today. I called up this morning (also waiting about 36 minutes...) and they honoured the V11 online fixed price and let me have it start from 01/04/2022.
Here's a screenshot of my online account summary after the call.

So it seems possible and definitely worth a try!

Spooky, when I call yesterday I also had to listen to that dreadful hold music for 36 minutes.
  • Help please, I am disabled, have ADHD and dyscalculia, which is like dyslexia of numbers. I am with Eon on Safeguard DD (old Npower tariff) electric only variable tariff.

I've been offered the NEXT ONLINE V11 1yr fix? I live alone in a 1 bed bungalow with no gas supply to our village. Do I jump? 🙏

I have attached a screenshot of the email I received from Eon last week with the new prices from 1st April.

I've watched the video from Martin Lewis, brilliant by the way. However I still simply don't understand as when numbers are talked about or written or whatever I am totally lost and overwhelmed 🤯😭 Can anyone help me understand please. I'm fed up of losing out through mental health disabilities.

EON customer service advisor told me to Contact Citizens Advice, or one of the other money charities, in relation to helping vulnerable customers ensure that they are on the right energy tariff for their needs prior to the April 1st 2022 huge price rise deadline.
HOWEVER I explained that these advice agencies are swamped and no available appointment or consultations for the next 6 or 7 weeks and now advising people to contact their energy provider instead of them. Customer service adviser just repeated to contact Citizens Advice etc! So absolutely no help from Eon!

Absolutely any help or guidance hugely appreciated. Thank 🙏 you

  • By the way I am a long time member and deal advice etc of MSE forums but I cannot log in on my regular account 😕 So I've set up this one to ask the above question! 🐾

I think the Next Online V11 tariff has been withdrawn today, sorry.
Your best bet for the next 6 months (until October) is to stay on your Safeguard DD tariff.
There is likely to be another rise in October but, at the moment, no-one can say if it will be a big rise or a small one.

Yes you want to take it. It's now been pulled bit others are having it honoured if they phone. Make sure it's V11. You don't want the new V12. I would do this today.
