If you’re looking to fix with EonNext, remember that the 2 yr fix offers a discount for paying for DD while the 1 year doesn’t. I had to call to find out what the discount is - it’s 5% per fuel, so 10% total. Worth doing the maths to figure out which is actually cheaper for you as neither of them have early exit penalties.
To clarify, is it definitely 5% off the total bill per fuel? Just thinking that '5% per fuel' could mean 5% off the bill of each fuel individually, which would only be 5% off the total bill.
  • I also signed up to this - the phone lines weren’t open over the weekend so I messaged them (over FB) and they deferred the start date that way

I think I'm going to go for Next 2 Year v18. For me it's 2% higher for the first 6 months, but then isolated from the ?20+% hike in October, and fixed for a further 18 months beyond that. And no exit fees if the market price drops.

Update: did it via Messenger & delayed effectiveness to 1st April

Quite right, I stand corrected! The net cost was still about the same as the 1yr fix though, which is what I based my decision on.

I'm not being offered the Online V11 tariff as yet. Even if I log into the new eonnext.com website. All I see are two options:

Cheapest tariff: NextFlex at £197.06 a month (£2,364.66 a year).

    and

    Next 1 Year v8 at £305.01 a month (£3,660 a year).

I'm currently already on the 'NextFlex' variable rate (dual fuel) but only pay £95 per month and I'm £140+ in credit. I was expecting my bills to increase to 56% or to around £150 a month in April, as the cap increases.

What are peoples increases from current variable NextFlex to the Next Online v11 tariff?

My DD increased from £105/month to £125/month (NextFlex to v11). At the issue of the last bill I was/am £11 in debit.

S/C and kwh rates identical both fuels with NextFlex  rates from 1 April, contact them ask for tariff change to be effective from 1 April, no exit fees

  • I was emailed about Online V11, thought about it 24  hours and went online yesterday to see all prices changed - upwards, and no sign of V11.  However, today looked again, just out of frustration, and the V11 fix was back on my quotes page.  I signed up by phoning this morning, and was given it, and a delayed start date till 1 april, so will not pay higher prices till then, and will have same prices for 1 year!  Try talking on phone to them - very helpful but long wait 0808 501 5200.  Seemed to answer all questions and sent immediate letter email full of details.

Sorry may be a stupid question but did you press the 'renew' button to get your available quotes. I was slghtly put off at first myself because of the wording.
  • I think I did, it didn't commit you to anything - just showed the 1 yr, the variable one, and the 2 year one.  Phoning gave me all the info I could not find (or understand) and they were more than helpful - don't delay though!!
