MSE Parking Ticket Appeals Guide feedback

  • Hello

I have been following the MSE guide to fighting a parking charge notice but having seen this forum I am concerned the guide isn't right?

My appeal the company that issued the fine and to POPLA were both rejected but it seems the company are prepared to take me to court.

I have so far not responded to letters from debt collectors but have now had a letter from a solicitor. Can anyone tell me whether this is an official 'Letter Before Claim' that I need to respond to?

    Many thanks

That's not LBC which would be headed as such. So you can safely ignore that: it is sent by a debt collector, ZZPS.

The guide is right. It suggests trying appeal but that usually is rejected, followed by £170 threatograms (this is one) so your case is proceeding as expected.

What you don't do is pay, not even when you get a Claim Form because it is a cinch to defend.

NOBODY SHOULD EVER PAY £170 TO ANYONE RE A PRIVATE PARKING CHARGE BECAUSE THERE IS NO RISK.

Did you exhaust the landowner complaint? Never too late to get a PCN cancelled immediately by a retailer or the retail park property agents.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There was never a fine, just an invoice PCN from a private parking company claimant

That company ( or anyone in England and Wales ) have the option to take anyone to court over any matter

I could issue an invoice to you and subsequently issue a Money Claim for any payment, as could a plumber, roofer or other trades people, for possible enforcement
