[Deleted User] said:What do you base this on?We all only have anecdotal evidence, but from people whose accounts I read and whom I spoke to, it seems that if you open an account in branch, they can manually assign you the Drummonds card. But from my personal experience, this isn’t an option anymore as you’ll be driven away at the door.Otherwise if you apply online and meet Premier criteria you’ll be (automatically/manually, unclear) assigned the Drummonds card. If you don’t qualify, you get the beach hut.Until and unless someone gives an account of getting a Drummonds card online without meeting Premier criteria, I think this is the safest assumption.

I hate to throw a Spanner in the works, but in August I opened a 2nd RBS account (Already have Child & Co) and choose the Drummonds Branch, I didn't get a Drummonds Branded Card, but I did get a Beach Hut (Premier Beach Hut but still a Beach Hut).

They might just direct the hoi polloi to sister bank NatWest.0

have you been called by the Personal Banker in Branch to discuss your Premier Account?0 -

That is really interesting because I have been told on multiple times that you had to specifically apply for the Premier Account, even for the free Premier Select.
if I may, and only if you are willing to share, are you saying that you simply applied for a standard account, entered your income details and based on that qualifying criteria you have been given a Premier Account? In any case, back to the latest thread topic, I would still think that your account has fallen outside of pure branch allocation and gone to more general Digital Premier Management0 -

Just bulk standard account, got the card a few days later and was Branded Premier, got an email from Premier Banking / Premier 24, then a call the following day from a Premier Manager (I do have his name and details but won't post them here), the only thing I can think of (And this may have nothing to do with it) is that my account with NatWest is Premier and somehow the customer records get linked ?.1 -
