trient said:How were you applying? Did you use the "special" form that was posted here a while back?EarthBoy said:I understand that the current RBS website no longer lets you choose your branch when you apply for a current account. However, if you use this old link instead, it will let you select your preferred branch by address or sort code:
https://www.cao.rbos.com/cao/external/rbs/launchChannelHandler.do?PF=CAC&PI=ZJ&BRD=RBS&CID=INT&CS=N&devicemode=null&subbrand=responsive_rbs_personal&CCF=Y
You need to enter sort code 15 80 00 if you want a Child & Co account.0 -

I then tried applying for another kind, but it wouldn't let me input my own sort code - perhaps as I'm already a customer it knows my local branch. Sorry I can't answer those questions, it's a shame as it would be great to get the premier banking relationship manager free of charge! If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

you then started again (without being logged in) and could not select an account?
This would be indeed new limitation, as the process was the same for NatWest and RBS and at one point I opened 3 Select account (the standard one) with NatWest, and I opened my Drummonds on when I already had Child & Co. I do remember that then branch selection came quite late into the process though.
with regards to Personal Banker, it is not a great deal though but nice to have someone to directly contact for serious questions.I have Premier banking with HSBC and Barclays and do not have one individual I can contact, but the general Premier lines for both banks do answer quickly and try to go the extra bit (would not side mile) when needed. I only have a Club Lloyds account but was also assigned an individual Personal Banker at one point
Personal Banker wise, I think a single point of contact is preferable for me because if I need something from the last conversation clearing up, it's a lot easier if I speak to the same person. There is also the benefit of the dedicated premier line as you've saidIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

I then visited the branch few times (it was lovely) and had few face to face chats with said person, but only have a standard Rewards account with them.
we even got around talking about upgrades to Premier and I was told that I specifically had to apply for it and I had to present evidence of meeting the criteria, strictly0 -

superM said:So if I apply for an account under the above sort code which card they will issue? My answer is:
if you meet Premier criteria, you’ll get a Drummonds branded one.
If you don’t, you’ll get a beach hut.Marchitiello thinks that you’ll get a Drummonds card in any case except if you’re not eligible for an offline card.If you do try, let us know how it goes.0 -
