may i join in? I post occasionally but will try to update. I retired a year early from a stressful NHS job and had a few weeks rest until my 93 year old mum fell ill over Christmas she lives 85 miles away so things have been incredibly stressful but gradually settling into a new pattern, we also had a boomerang 21 year old come back having dropped out of uni in his final year due to mental health issues but has finally just started a full time job after 4 months . so its good for me to refocus on the good as its so easy to lose sight, oh yes and my poor daughter who is a teacher in london has finally caught covid, but is ok.
so

blue tits hopefully back in my nest box, or at least looking at it
Son had a good first week at work, although very tired....

I survived the Glaswegian weather and we are setting off home in an hour or 2
my reason to be cheerful today is that I’m going home to snuggle my dog (I’ve missed him!)

Good Morning cheery chums , I am a cheerful old lady today as after lunch I am off to my youngest DDs where all four of my five grandsons will be, (the other one lives in new York
) and tonight we are having our belated Christmas dinner.
Cancelled at Christmas because of two of the boys going down with the virus, foloowe by their Dad.
DD saved some crackers so it will be nice for us all to be together Two of them Ben ,lives in Camden and works as a teacher in north London, and the other one Henry is coming home for a quick weekend from Uni in Essex. So all of them together will be really great.
I heard from my friend that she's got her date for her heart operation next Friday in London and I'm really pleased for her as she's been waiting a good year for it.
The sun sadly seems to have deserted kent this morning but at least its not too cold
I managed to get all my washing dried on the line yesterday so thats cheered me up as well as it smells so nice and fresh on the airer.
So pleased to see new 'faces' joining us happy band
have a great day chums

- I'm home working do I can get some laundry done throughout the day after our weekend away
- The office window is open and I can hear a woodpecker in the woods
- Just found out I can deposit cash to my new bank at the garage round the corner instead of driving into town and parking (whoop!)
