Watching the cat eyeing up the fat pigeons on the back lawn before deciding food in his dish was a better option 🙂
The smell of a chicken carcass and veg making stock in the slow cooker, tormenting me all day
Finding a pack of HG rhubarb in the freezer, to crumble or not to crumble that is the question 🤔

Cold and sunny weather forecast tomorrow (my favourite) and I have the morning off work and a ten mile walk planned.
also cheerful that I’m able to walk that far (and further) because 18 months ago I never would have tried to walk that far. I have explored so many places in my home area and seen so many views I would have missed in a car bus or train.

I totally forgot to add the biggest reason to be cheerful this week:
I passed my probation at my job! So I'm now entitled to all the benefits, including a wellbeing package (that will cover most of our dental costs and some of our optical charges) and health insurance. Very happy with that!February wins: Theatre tickets10 -

My reasons today.
- I have the day off work
- We are off to Scotland for the weekend
- I can hear the birds singing through the open window whilst I'm having my 2nd coffee
- The house is clean and tidy so I don't have to worry about it when I get home
- The sun has made an appearance for the second day running

Good morning cheerful chums
isn't it great how even a splash of weak sunshine perks us all up and makes us look forward to the coming spring and summer.
I have found by restricting watching the news on TV my happiness has increased. All the doom and despondancy is quite wearing at times Life is what it is, and if by smiling and saying good morning to someone this morning you may unknowingly have brightened their day up as well.
I am sitting with my cuppa and a couple of ginger nut biscuits and looking out of my sitting room window at the moment
The sun is shining and the sky is blue enought to make anyone a bit happier
Tomorrow my youngest granddaughter Holly flies off with her OH for their belated honeymoon to NYC where she will spend a week .Her wedding was posponed four times and eventually took place last August. her brother lives out there with his wife so they will have a great time I'm sure.
This morning I shall take myself off for a stroll around the local park as the sun is out. Capstone Park has a small lake with ducks etc so I shall be on the look out for them. it has a small cafe so if its open I may even sit outside by the lake with a coffee and just people watch .usually someone says good morning ,or nice weather .Quite a chatty lot in the Medway .
Then home for lunch and probably feet up and a bit of knitting and watch the last part of Tenko thats been on UK Drama for several weeks Old stuff I know but I have enjoyed seeing reruns.
Not a wildly exciting day, but I'm quite happy and it will be relaxing and after my trek around the lake and fresh air. I am quite happy to relax in the afternoon .
Dinner tonight is what ever I unearth from the freezer to 'ping' in the microwave .Running down the freezer to defrost and finding all sorts of stuff in there .
Found a choc ice last night that had escaped from a box ,very nice it was as welllittle things cheer me up
even a forgotten choice ice
happiness was definitely an unexpected choc ice last night
So pleased that folk are finding odd things to make them smile and appreciate life is not all bad. I think just the days getting light helps no end, and every day its later and later before we have to shut the curtains.

blue sky and cold but a lovely walk round the park.
snowdrops are in flower in my garden.
I'm warm and have a furry purring warmer on my knees! My dgs is coming after school to stay the night. 😍Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.5
