I have a complicated timer for central heating so I leave it on constant and use the thermostat
The only downside is in a morning..6 -
I’ve had a blustery walk round the park.
been to Lidl for bits so not a big spend
had my 💇 haircut . Which always makes me cheerful.
Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.6 -
Today's reasons to be cheerful:
- A bacon sandwich for breakfast was much enjoyed, it seems ages since we last had one.
- The kitchen floor has been swept and mopped, not a favourite job even though it doesn't take long. Kitchen now smells clean and fresh.
- The weather today is a bit naff but the birds don't seem to mind and I enjoy watching them, especially when I'm having my first cuppa of the day.
- Next week's meal plan has been done and I don't seem to need much shopping as most things are coming from existing stocks. That makes me happy because I hate shopping (for anything).
- Another carrier bag is ready to go to the CS soon, mainly bric-a-brac, but someone may want them.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.5 -
Hi Chums,
1. Stanley the greyhound was a lot better today, and I went with my son-in-law to the vets so he could get his bandages changed.
2. Very wet and windy and not brilliant weatherwise but I read we are due for some really nice weather next week so I'm happy to put up with a grotty day today.
3. All my washing is dry and put away and I hate putting the stuff away for some reason so no piles of anything in the sitting room all tideied away
4. Found a nice shepherds pie in the freezer for tonight dinner so its defrosting at the moment so not doing much cooking tonight
5. Hopefully my other son-in-law will come tomorrow to fix a new door handle on my sitting room door
.
6. sitting here with a hot coffee and a cuple of custard creams in the warm looking out at the horrible rain bucketing down, at least it save me cleaning my car (there's always an upside to everything )
Have a good evening chums and keep dry and warm

My blessings are that I have a free day tomorrow and my DH are going for a walk together.
I have all my washing washed and drying outside on the line!
We are having an easy supper of sausages , fresh eggs and mash so no prep needed!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend x

Morning cheerful chums
1. The sun is shining
2. Its book club day
3. My daughter fixed my washing line over the weekend which had been seriously sagging
4. The washing will be out on the line in the next half hour having a good blow. Dry by the time I'm back from book club.
5. My grandson Henry is home next weekend for a few days from Uni as he's almost finished his dissertation :0 I will feed him up
6. Although its Monday, I always like the start of a new week, and planning for what I shall do this week already.
So I'm already feeling cheerful and optimistic already , How about everyone else. come on turn those frowns upside down and think of something ,no matter how small that will cheer you up this week. Even if its only the fact of spring ahead of us and winter hopefully behind and gone
