Sun shining already although a slight frost last night.
1. Just have to take youngest grandson Mikey to his weekend job this morning.
2. Managed with the help of YouTube to remove my detergent drawer frommy washing machine to give it a good degunk, boy was it yuckylooks perfect now another job ticked off my to-do list and put on my been-done one
3. Making some melting moment to take to DDs this afternoon, the DGS's favourite biscuits.
4. Wrapped two birthday presents ready to be dropped of later this week, another tick off my to-do list
5. its Sunday, so menu plan for the week, and prep the veg which go into water in the fridge, which I have done for the past 50 odd years. Saves a lot of time during the week, I hate spud peeling
Small jobs but once done and out of the way, means I can do what I enjoy doing ,knitting ,reading etc. I am definitely a lady of habits.
Right time to get Mikey to work
Have a good weekend chums

I am loving this early summer but need to get motivated to get outside and start tackling the garden. There's just too much to be done indoors and at work this week. Maybe next Sunday when its that much lighter?
Had some shocking news about a dear friend and am counting my blessings for my health. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -

Hi Chums
1. My gardener has just been ,first time this year, and the grass smells gorgeous now its been cut.
2. Got another to-do job out of the way , DGS Jack wanted his trousers turned up, so did that this morning.
3. Just about to finish off the last of my vat of spicy carrot soup for lunch A kilo of carrots from Aldi's made a good two litres of thick soup ( a bt like condensed) total cost around 60p and it did 5 lunches for me with cheese and crackers and a piece of fruit afterwards.
4.Popped over the road to get some cash from the bank, nipped into the little Tescos and their potato offer this week is 2.5 kilos of baking spuds for 79p, great value 8 good sized jacket spuds and a six pack of salad tomatoes were on offer at 59p so a total of £1.38 spent todayquite happy with that as the jackets will be nice with some small bits of filling from my freezer. freezer is definitely getting a lot more space in it now, and I am hoping to be able to defrost before Easter
Daft the things that cheer you up isn't it
Onwards and upwards chums, belt tightening in progress in Chez Moi at the moment as I had a bill for my roof repair to pay But its all done and dusted so no leaks at least and the builder did come out very quickly for me bless him .
Cheers chums JackieO xx9 -
Hi JackieO - good buys today from Tesc. I don't often shop there as it is quite a walk from where we live. Our nearest shop is just a couple of minutes walk away - Asd. and then we have a 15 mins walk to Ald. where we buy most of our food - getting it home in my trusty shopping trolley. Our SA corps had trays of potatoes and cabbages outside last week with a sign - free - please help yourselves.
I have knitted the extra chicks that I need to fufil the order - just have to sew them together and do the bit that I dislike - the gluing.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

So much sadness and unhappiness in the world at the moment ,so concentrating on even just a small thing can help make a difference. Today, having warm feet from your hot water bottle cheered you upMy eldest daughter does a very stressful job and I do feel for her at times ,but I try to say just think how life will still carry on with or without her worrying. I now just try to think of positive things
Chin up honey tomorrow is another day and hopefully a brighter one for you

Good morning everyone,
1. A beautiful sunny day at the moment and a good forecast for this weekSun always makes me feel better.
2. Its Tuesday so coffee morning with my friends at Dobbies (freebie coffee with my loyalty card )
3. A small washload already blowing on the line in the sun
4. DDs dog Stanley is progressing really well now his stitches are removed, although because he keeps licking his paw, he's got to wear a muzzle for a few days as his bandage is now off.
5. No shopping to get today as its another meal from my slowly emptying my freezer for a defrost shortly
Not big things in total but they cheer me up at least

Been for a long walk with my friend , enjoyed the beautiful weather, didn’t need a coat ! That’s a win for little old cold me!! Had a great chat no talk about anything bad. Nice coffee sat outside. Got a lovely large orchid from work yesterday reduced to staff.
Jackie I am like you , life’s to short to focus on the negatives that’s why I love this thread. All about the positives . Wishing everyone a wonderful day .Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.9
