I was diagnosed with inoperable breast cancer in 2018 but am still here! Life is a bit limited due to mobility issues but still enjoying being here. Will never be rich but financially OK and looking forward to a coffee out with a friend tomorrow.12

Wasn't the sun today so cheering. I took my little dog down on to the playing field and spent some minutes just standing there with the sun on my face. It always makes you feel positive no matter what's going on.

Rosa_Damascena, I'm a bit of a philistine and dunk my ginger nuts in my tea
Poppy811 That's the spirit girl keep fighting and never give up. I treasure every extra day I have been given since 2007
Well today is marginally brighter than yesterday, still a bit damp but brightening up by the hour at least
Just had a long chat with my grandson Henry on the phone, he was due to come home from Uni for a few days but had to put it off as he has a rotten cold but assured me he tested clear ,but doesn't want to pass it on to anyone. He says it will give him the opportunity to finish a lot of course work off at least and it means he can stay for a little longer as well. He has his finals in May then he will graduate. he's such a sensibleyoung man and always makes me smile bless him.
If its dry by lunchtime I will have a wander to the local park and see how the ducks are getting on, as last time I went there were a few babies swimming bravely after their Mum in the lake. Its a nice walk around the lake with a coffee shop at the end
So many daffs are out in my garden this year. I almost dug them all up last year as it wasn't a very good display, but this year they seemed to have multiplied, I love Daffs as they are so cheerful and bright after all the grey of winter.
Hope everyone has a good day ,and the days are getting longer and its only the end of this month then the clocks go forward
Take care and stay safe

Coffee with friend was cancelled as her car wouldn’t start. Luckily it was day for the village coffee so went there instead. Cleaner is now here doing her usual stirling job.
Zoom meeting with hospice shortly, lovely lady helps me put things in perspective7 -
Jackie - I do something similar with rolls of wrapping paper and keep them in the legs of old tights stored in the built-in cupboard in the spare bedroom. There's also a small storage box in there containing sellotape, scissors, ribbon, greetings cards and so on. It makes life so much easier.
Earlier today I was in the kitchen on a food saving mission - what can I make from these bits and pieces, chop/freeze wrinkly mushrooms and half a pepper, make custard from the half a carton of LL milk etc. As always, I had the radio on and I suddenly became aware I was chuckling out loud at the daft conversations between the presenter and the listeners and dancing to the music between the conversations. It made me smile because I realised a number of things.
(1) Physically I can still move around, even if the dancing is a bit naff. It certainly wouldn't win any prizes on Strictly.
(2) I'm taking an interest in what others are saying and finding the "funny" in it, so mentally I must be in a good place.
(3) I can still multi-task so the brain is working OK!
(4) No food is being wasted in this house, pennies saved.
Despite the depressing stuff - awful news, dreary weather, the state of the economy, rising costs and so on - I have a lot to be cheerful about and constantly remind myself that others are not so fortunate.Be kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
Morning! I am behind, sorry!
Reasons to be cheerful:
- £75 Amazon voucher through from having switched broadband to Virgin in November. I had forgotten about it, so lovely surprise and will pay for a few things
- £89.40 automatic refund through from water company as credit had built and they've just issued their six monthly bill. Monthly DD also reducing by £6pm (about the only one that is going down!).
- World book day today and DDs school asked them to pick a word and dress up as that. She chose 'fashionable', so her outfit was easy and free! Thanks kid
- We're all currently healthy and happy.
- DHs op has been rescheduled for next Wednesday (having been cancelled on the day of storm Eunice)
Hope you're all doing well xFebruary wins: Theatre tickets7
