Reasons to be Cheerful

BeckyAM said:Beautiful thread:
I am happy because my husband and I are living the life we love, even if others think is kind of weird (digital nomads, minimalists and childfree).
I am happy because my parents are well and always with good attitude.
I am happy because everyone I love is in perfect health
Life is wonderful and although it's sometimes hard, we have to take the obstacles and pass them as best as possible and with a good attitude.
Serious news on the media this morning, but doing my best to find cheerful things
My gorgeous grandson Jack is 22 today, last year he celebrated on his own as he was locked down at Uni and couldn't even meet with his pals because of the virus.
So today we will celebrate his last years birthday and this years as well. lots of cake to go round.
Raining at the moment, but due to dry up by lunchtime with even a glimpse of the sun.
Dinner at Dds later for grandsons birthday
as BeckyAM said my family are also healthy, dry and safe, that is most important to me
Stay safe everyone and tell your loved ones every day that you love them

Watching the BBC news channel I am struggling to feel cheerful today. Had war just not been started I would be cheerful for;
-spring-like weather today

just thought of another reason, going to start Pollyanna's recommended book 'Lime Street at Two' tonight as its moved from my bookshelf to the bedside table at last
plus just off bearing gifts for my grandson jack for his birthday today so cake and hugs will be involved

This morning's news was not the best way to start the day but I've still found cheerfulness in my day.
- I didn't have to go out in the awful weather (rain, hail, sleet, wind - you name it, we've had it) so have stayed warm and dry.
- We're having savoury mince beef for tea and there's a lovely appetising smell coming from the kitchen. There will be enough for another meal to go in the freezer.
- All today's planned tasks have been completed, the rest of the day is mine to do as I wish.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.5 -
We didn't get the snow that was forcast.
Feeling blessed today 🙏3 -
Last day at work before my weekend off.
seeing dgson today.
my dd1 is coming to visit tomorrow, not seen her for a month.🥰Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.4 -
My reasons today are:
Pay day - and cleared one of my credit cards!
I'm on annual leave from work today
Long dog walk and lunch out (providing the weather holds)

Good Morning everyone ,well a cheery start to my day ,
The sun is shining and the sky is blue and forecast to be like this all day
My builder is coming to fix the tiles on my roof this afternoonwhich is a relief, not cheap but so neccessary
Plus its pension day, and all bills are paid with some left over which is even better.
No shopping needed at all ,and spare cash left in my purse at the moment and the end of the month is Monday so will have some to roll over into March.
Getting some wriggle room in the freezer and using up stuff in the cupboards has helped no end this year.
I'm just about to drink my second cuppa so all's well in my world at the moment
Hope everyone is OK and staying safe ,getting so much lighter in the mornings and evening and spring is almost here thank goodness.
Stay safe chums and keep smiling

Beautiful sunny day. Visiting my grandson later to celebrate his 2nd birthday. We are all still not mixing in large groups so other Grandparents are going over the weekend....I love birthdays that cover a few days3

Today's reason to be cheerful - it was dry/bright enough to actually get some washing semi-dried on the line today.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
Encouragement always works better than judgement.5
